Might be 100% viable with Ganyu, Jean, Ningguang, and the fourth slot would go to someone who can apply electro without use of skills or bursts. Fischl & Lisa come to mind to gain shield through crystallization from Ningguang. They'd all be able to provide something without the use of their skills or bursts. Zhongli's shield is dope and all, but if you can't use skills he becomes just a mediocre polearm user. Shame they didn't allow further progress through the fight by setting a hard condition flag to the HP bar of Baal, triggering the cutscene. I would leave a like, but you're sitting at 420 currently.

@@namyfluid think I had fischl, klee, zhongli, diona. zhongli pretty much ez carried it, just pop shield then fischl klee overload spam shredded her... at least until the part where the visions get locked, then I kinda panicked but fischl/klee do pretty well with normal/charged attacks and I'd just switch to zhongli/diona when it looked like I was about to eat something big.

The one we saw is much weaker because it's only used for execution. Weak enough for toma to interrupt it. Though it'll probably kill traveller if the strike hits.

This is literally one of the most badass character introductions I’ve ever seen Edit: I just really enjoy how she wasted no time establishing that she was a villain by demonstrating how she goes about stealing visions and went straight to killing the traveller. Baal also had a very good voice actress who gave Baal the perfect emotionless voice which usually means the actress is untalented but this time it fits perfectly with baals intimidating character who literally gives zero sh*ts about anyone.

From understanding the lore, if Zhongli wanted to, he could take on and most likely beat Baal since he is seen as the strongest of the 7 archons but he knows that starting another archon war will only lead to a large scale death of far too many citizens of Liyue and Inazuma and he wants to avoid that after the senseless death that happened during the last archon war.

Zhongli is the oldest of the current set of archons since the Archon war. the Tsarista is currently the youngest. which means there are definitely other gods out there who are looking to take their places or have vendetta's, such as osial during liyue arc. it is stated that all other gods fled the 7 regions controlled by the 7 archons. The archon war was not a direct conflict between all 7 current archons with each other but MULTIPLE gods fighting each other within those territories. Monstadt: decarabian vs andrius (wolf god). venti took the position because andrius is disappointed in humans. Liyue: morax, guizhong, alatus(xiao), havria, osial are all listed gods or adepti in the liyue region during the archon war. Inazuma has not presented enough history to learn of past archons. It is stated that venti and zhongli are the only 2 who are of the original 7 archons with the other 5 having changed within the last 2000 yrs

I mean, Baal enacted the vision hunt decree halfway through the battle which prevented any of your characters from using elemental skills or burst. However, Zhongli and Venti, who are not vision bearers, but gods, couldn’t use their skill. That is a lot more worthy of your attention.
