Genshin Impact be looking a little different

I wish they released a statement that they allow cosmetic modding as long as it isn't replicating something in the game. It would be fair and awesome

Been modding since 2021. I've shown my UID plenty of times throughout the years and there are other youtubers who show their UID and havent been banned. There is also a Genshin Modding Discord Community that will report on these things. There has not been a single ban reported for a Skin Mod throughout the years. Skin mods only change what your GPU Renders and does not change any game files which is probably why Mihoyo does not care unless you decide to show off Nude/porn mods on the internet or streaming. For example of you go on Co Op no one else will see your mods because again the mod only changes what your GPU renders so its not changing any files in the game. Mihoyo looks for things that changes the game and everyone else's experience. So since mods skins are not hacks it should be fine. But again modding is your own choice. Again also the modding discord community has 73.9k members who all have their genshin skin modded and there hasent been a single ban reported for a skin mod throughout the years. If you mod the game to hack then yeah you gonna get banned.

@@JaykeoSaurus I always thought they'd ban the shit out us because these awesome cosmetics are pretty much unwanted competition and potential outfit sale loss. But this is reassuring. I wouldn't reveal my ID though, too many sad and evil people out there who would try to harm you just because.

@@samirSch I would say that goes both ways. Sometimes the mods promotes Genshin skin sales because sometimes the community will make a mod that will only work with the bought skins on the Genshin store but yeah there is a Hide UID mod. I have recently downloaded it and it makes the game look better. Especially in cutscenes. That's why you don't see my UID.

My Raiden can toggle her helmet on and off with a key press since I merged the mod. Right now I'm trying to figure out how to edit the mod to where she has no helmet in regular form and helmet when she bursts. I currently have a mod like that for Raiden. She's in her base form and then when I burst she transforms into her boss transformation from when you fight her.

It is 99% safe. As long as you were smart not to share the screenshot of your game with the mod and your UID in it and not use a mod that requires you to put or modify something in the game main folder, it's pretty much safe. I do use a lot of outfits mods in my game using my main account for almost 2 years and still haven't got banned. Hell, I even use a mod that shows the location of the chest and any precious objects and still haven't got banned. It's pretty much a must for me to play with those cosmetics mods because hoyo is too lazy to make a new outfits for characters. Atleast with the cosmetics mods, I can experience new things and not get bored.

Hey so I've been modding for 2 years and have shown my UID plenty of times and have not got banned. There is also a discord community that will report on this stuff because if someone did get banned then everyone would stop using the mods. The only bans that have been reported are nude porno mods being shown on KZbin or twitch streaming. Also if you hack the game. For regular skin modding there has not been a ban for it. Skin mods just change what your GPU renders for models so it's not changing any game files. Example of that is if you go in co op no one will see your modded skins because you are not changing the game files which is why Mihoyo does not care about these skin mods in my opinion. If you do decide to do like sexy mods then I would just keep that to yourself and not post it. If you want to also be safe there is a Hide UID mod to hide your UID. That's why you don't see mines. Like I said I have shown my UID plenty of times but hiding my UID just makes the game look better. Especially in cutscenes.

Mods work in all custscenes except the major cinematic ones so all characters not just Aether will look the way they are modded in cutscenes. I always change Aethers clothes to match what region he Is going into for the story along with Paimon. Right now Paimon and Aether are wearing Fontaine outfits.
