HSR Izumo (story) was a parallel alternative outcome to HI3 Solar System Altentative Honkai Earth events.

Honkai Star Rail - parallel universes. It can be called a continuation of Honkai Impact 3rd, as two characters from Honkai Impact transferred to Honkai Star Rail. Honkai Star Rail takes place after Honkai Impact 3rd, there is even a Honkai Impact 3rd animation that is a prequel to Honkai Star Rail where Welt goes on his journey.

@@Всекакобычно5летназад yes you're right. In fact the Earth of Honkai Impact is labeled as an unknown Planet on the Express. Also the Variant/Expy stuff doesn't really about "multiverse" stuff, if I'm not wrong, Zandar talks about the Imaginary Barrier among all worlds in the imaginary tree, Welt also talk about his Expy stuff in the Luocha quest, according to him, in other Galaxy there could be another March 7 but have different story. And then Acheron talk about how she have meet many people similar to those who she knew like Kevin and even Welt. Yeah, you can say, the Imaginary Tree is a universe working like a Multiverse. Thanks to the confusing Imaginary stuff

You'll see a lot of people using words like parallel or different universes to describe the Hi3/HSR/Genshin connections, but that's from mistranslations of the Chinese terms on Hoyoverse's part and its causing a LOT of confusion. Imagine the hoyoverse like this just to put it in perspective: Our world would be the Hi3 equivalent. Genshin and HSR would be taking place so unbelievably far away that our technology can't find traces of it yet. Except in Hi3 and HSR, they do have the technology... somewhat. The Train in HSR, The Astral Express, can travel between worlds via a rail system created by the Aeon Akivili, but Hi3 and Genshin are not places it connects to. (This next part is a bit fuzzy to me cause i havent read the manga that explains this, so all my knowledge is from Homu Labs on KZbin.) Hi3 and HSR are directly connected through Welt Yang, who ended up stuck on a space ship belonging to an alien race that is targeting HSR Himeko for some reason. He decided that since he couldn't protect Hi3 Himeko, he'll find and protect HSR Himeko. After that, the ship ended up breaking on some distant planet that WAS connected to the Star Rail system the Astral Express uses, and that's how he was found by HSR Himeko. Sorry if this was still long and confusing. I tried to simplify it, but this still doesn’t even include the Sea of Quanta and Imaginary Tree concepts😓

Thank you for properly explaining the difference for everyone. People don't realise HOW BIG a Universe is actually. HSR probably takes place on another corner in the universe which would be extremely far light years away l.

That doesn't explain the characters who look the same as in other places though like Himeko. If it's just another place and not parallel anything... then HSR Himeko got to be connected to HI3 in some way?

@@kujika Yes, through the Imaginary Tree. Homu Labs on KZbin explains it better than I ever could, but the Tree is creating so many new variations and re-dos of worlds for the purpose of having at least a few of them able to survive Honkai (see HI3 pt.1 VS. Acheron's home world Izumo, or in the Cyberangel: ZERO Exception short where Bronya Z. notices other failed worlds with Bronyas crumbling in the Sea of Quanta) that there's bound to be overlaps, but they aren't totally the same. (see HSR Navigator Himeko, HI3 CE Major Himeko, HI3 PE Captain HIMEKO, HI3 Captainverse Young Himeko, GGZ Captain Himeko) However, they do not exist as parallel universes, they exist in ONE universe. It's why in HSR and HI3 Captainverse, us the MC can travel between worlds through space, and why we've seen this phenomenon already through Silver Wolf and Bronya R. in HSR, and a recent HI3 event where we're literally chasing an evil Theresa variant who's murking other Theresas. So, when the Astral Express is Warp Jumping, it's not dimension hopping, it's going into light-speed jumps and speeding over Akivili's rail system running across the Imaginary Tree

HSR is a sequel to the Honkai Impact 3rd PART 1 story in parallel unniverses. On the time line, is it after the Main Story PART1, but before the APHO PART 2.

The Alien Space manga takes place after APHO but before Honkai Star Rail. The Void Archive talks to Welt as the Sky People hunt them. In APHO, the Void Archive worked with the Sky People, but in the manga they are enemies, so it makes sense what timeline it takes place in. After the events of the manga and animation, as you already know, they ended up in Honkai Star Rail.

Actually its after Apho. If you read alien space Manga (Welt Story After APHO, there was a panel showing HSR Himeko, if you played also Luocha Companion mission, there was an APHO Flashback)
