Now that Sumeru’s desert is released. Zhongli and his burst really fit in the desert, I always said it’s not fitting that he’s liyue’s archon, he should be sumeru’s archon but I understand mihoyo. There were a lot of lords in genshin but they have passed away and he happened to be born in the chasm and resembles wealth and commerce in some Chinese traditions

Good point but honestly I disagree because the Desert used to be ruled by Deshret so I imagine him as the God of desert with a sand sort of element. Havria of Liyue was the salt god so she had control over the salt element. And knowing how Ores play a major part in Liyue and how its geopraphy is mostly of stones and rocks. Him being the Geo Archon of Liyue fits. He also changed some Liyue's landscapes with his stone spears against evil Gods
