hear me out.. genshins lore could be inspired of Neon genesis evangelion lore.. humans werent created by adam but lilith. liliths egg created humans. adam and lilith once lived in another world but that world was brought to destruction. they had to go to another place to live. each creature had to get 1 planet. but adam and lilith accidently crashed into earth. that killed(not actually) adam and then lilith. lilith then created humanity. (seed of life i think- there was a line like that- i suggest you watch a neon genesis evangelion explanation video also bc i suck at explaining) in the end of the anime ( THIS IS HUGE SPOILERS SKIP THIS PART IF U WANT) humans feel guilty that they were born off lilith and not adam so they plan a way to kill all of life and start a new one with possibly adam. lilith awakens and kills every life. and earth is left with a big sea of blood. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! because we know HI3 was highly inspired by NGE and even collabed with them. Since it's confirmed HI3, Genshin, and Star Rail narratives takes place in the same universe, just in different locations and time, there's tendency of repeating narratives/thematics, though presented in different ways. Timeline wise, HI3 part 1 and Genshin took place at the same time, based on Otto's observation of the Imaginary Tree and Sea of Quanta, Teyvat was spotted but he ignored it. Star Rail takes place years after HI3 part 2, APHO and Alien Space manhua, based on Welt's statements and journey to return to Earth.

I smoke a bit of dendro but hear me out: Lumine becoming the vessel of the abyss could also explain why she is in Irminsul despite coming from another world, she fused with something tied to Teyvat which is the abyss and I assume the same will happen to Aether once he gets his ancient name. The difference is, that according to what we've been told, the Natlan leylines are not from Irminsul but the night kingdom, they are their own thing so even then, Aether wont be completley tied to this world. What I'm saying is, he wont lose his memories but in the case he does, they will be tied to Natlan along with his ancient name and be able to get them back once he awakens to said ancient name. Lumine, if the battle pass theory is true, lost her memories of her origins when she became the abyss princess and had nothing to tie her original memories with. But now the samsara theory also comes into place and/or even the fact that in the abyss time flows differently, which could explain why Lumine is able to remember Aether and seem to know what the end of his journey would mean. As well as why characters constellations determine their fate even with a fake sky. I believe Lumine (maybe even Daisleif and most certainly Venti) has witnessed Aether's journey for many times now (which explains Aether also having constellations and Mona being able to read part of his future), six to be precise and this, the one we as players are experiencing, is the one variable. I believe that the choice we make once we reach the end of the journey will be just like Dainsleif said at the end of the Teyvat trailer "the threads of all fate will be yours to reweave" and it all ties now with the battle pass too, how essentially we are not only saving Teyvat but our sibling too and we'll have to prove to Dainsleif that this time, we are worthy of doing so.
