It's not encouragement we need, it's a reduction of risk. I hate it but I'm not prepared to throw away 20 years of highly skilled qualifications, career and experience for a political issue like this. I do what I can quietly, but the risk to my personal life at the moment is too great vs the impact I can personally make. Pretty much all my friends in engineering are in exactly the same position.

It is very disappointing to see Genspect supporting a speaker who clearly does not understand the correct management of a pandemic and opposes such well establish steps as vaccination. Does she just oppose vaccination in regard to covid or is this a more all encompassing position. If it is just in the case of covid she is being hypocritical.
