Hi John. I've watched a few of your tutorials now and you make it all seem so easy. I have got the very old cricut machine as quite new to crafting. But I'm very tempted with the cm900 machine. When working in canvas do you work on a laptop or iPad can I ask please. I do have both but canvas seems to have more options on laptop am I correct. I have been having a play in canvas to get the feel ready for when I make my purchase. Your tutorials are wonderful and very easily explained I feel, so Thankyou. I'm going to keep watching and learn a bit more with your helping tutorials. Thank you John. Sue

+sue keys I am aware that you can work with canvas on either a desktop computer, laptop and tablet. I don't know if it has less options though. One way that you could see what you can do with it is to click on the question mark at the top right of the Canvas screen - this will then open up the help file and this has detailed instructions for using it with a tablet. Hope this helps :)

okay I did it finally wow that was a doozie kept walking away from this one but I listened to you clearly you have to delete extra outline once you divide right. think so Oh boi I will try till I get it down.

+Sharon VanHoveln Difficult to judge time for all skill levels but don't forget you can pause and rewatch as many times as you like in order to make sure you get the info being supplied.

Hello John - as I said before I really like your videos. Maybe you can help me with a "connecting" problem in CANVAS. I wanted to tidy up a design I scanned where some of the lines where not properly connected. So I was playing about in canvas ,trying to attach two lines side by side by drawing freehand two more lines to create a square. When I try to fusion my design I got the error SO7 message. I tried with the point editing tool, to pull one point onto the other line, but still the same message. What am I missing? Greetings from France ;-)

+Pia Cathmoir The Canvas Help Files show the following: Error Code - Cannot execute this operation with an open or intersecting path. (ErrS07) Possible Causes - When one of the overlapping patterns has an open outline or intersecting lines, the outlines may not be welded, divided, removed, or subtracted. Tips - Use the path tools to edit points in the pattern so that it has a closed outline and does not contain intersecting lines. (page 24 of help booklet) Hope this helps. J:)
