Hello there, so sorry to bother you. I hope you are well. I am trying to follow your video on aperture cards, and when I try to create my inset line, it just deletes it. I tried just creating another box shape inside and placing my text inside it and welding it, but when I try to weld, it deletes everything as well. I have the new DX machine and it does the same thing in the desktop and online versions. I realize they are different machines, but shouldn't the software work similarly?

Re Offset disappearing. Can you let me know if, when creating your offset line, that your settings match those shown at 1:37 in the video? In addition, do you have any colour fill or line fill applied to your shape? For example, have you got the properties set up as shown at 0:44 in the video? Re welding words disappearing. This is because you need to create the aperture into which you will weld the word. By adding a square, putting the word on top, all you are doing is 'smooshing' the two shapes together. The machine that you have is irrelevant to this tutorial as it is down to the software and not the machine.

When you change the font in the properties it is listed under text, I don't have that option. How do I get it?
@GentlemanCrafterUK9 жыл бұрын
+Cindy Muphy This option will only appear if you started out with a text entry method. It won't appear if you are using shapes and/or 'logos' (which are the pre-welded words).
