"A BRUISED REED He will not break and a DIMLY BURNING WICK He will not quench" (Isaiah 42:3, Mat 12:20). Such gentleness in these verses. There are so many BRUISED people today who need the gentleness of the LORD, so many who are a DIMLY lit wick, ready to give up on eternal life. Lord help us to show YOUR GENTLENESS to all. Amen.

I have been taught for years that the fruit of the Spirit is something that grows naturally, but Col 3:12 says we are to put it on, "12 Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering;" Even in Galatians he tells us to walk in the Spirit. I feel a lot of times I have heard the message of "Let it grow naturally" it gives the idea there's nothing we can do about it. I liked this talk. It struck me as I was reading through the NT recently how many times gentleness is mentioned. Not only as meekness (Prautes), but also "affable, mild, gentle" (Epios) and "seemingly, suitable, equitable, fair, mild, gentle" (Epieikes). Yet, I can't remember ever hearing a talk on gentleness!

It does comes naturally, after all it is the very Spirit of God, but to think you can command it, direct it with your will, put it on and put it off, what is that saying? To God? It's does comes naturally after a few pre-requistes as it were, that first the Holy Spirit conforms us and sanctifis us to his Spirit, which is The Holy Spirit, it does so by first condemning us of our sins before God! And that is where you lose 95% of would be Christians, that would be saved, that is salvation comes by these means. After condemning us, and after we repent, we must live with a humble and contrite spirit before God, allowing that his law and his provision and providence reign supreme in the HEART and mind of the converted and redeemed sinner! Then what is to follow? Well Christ has identified the soil in which this fruit must grow...your HEART, your heart was hardened by the world so that no good fruit could grow, now softened by his Word and ultimately it is his kindness that leads us to repentance. What follows after your justification into the margins of what God's spirit allows, the fruit of the spirit grows, that is you are actually made anew in his image, as the original Adam before the fall, when aim and rebellion filled the heart of man, now you live under his will, kindness and goodness, gentlenes, patience, joy, ling suffering now fill your HEART! Remember that it is out of the abundance and overflowing of the heart that the mouth speaks!!!!!! You must therefore as always throughout the Word of God in the Holy Bible look at the contents of your heart, do as the 12 Steppers, make an honest and searching inventory, or as the pastor here says, a spiritual MRI!

LOLOLO... There are so many counterfeit ideas among us. We have to go to Jesus always to get on track. Gently or lovingly, this is the way of him or her whose God is all powerful...😷

In Spanish, you might want to be able to say, "Soy mansa pero no mensa." You might only say that among friends because the last word is not for formal circles.
