My mother's an awful individual who has abandoned my family when we needed her the most, I don't have any friends either so I don't have anyone to comfort me Everytime I'd feel lonely I'd watch her videos where her calm and soothing voice and her kind words made me feel home and made me find the motherly figure I needed in her Everytime she talks about different interesting things:from tea to crystals to how her year was, and I can say that I never get bored She always talks in such a gentle and informal manner, making me feel part of her life (as weird as it sounds--) So thank you Maria, we love you so much and we hope you're going to feel better soon :) ♡

Since watching Maria's videos, not only has my sleep improved, but my mood, my mental state. I watch her videos throughout the day when I have anxiety or am upset. When she confided to us about her struggles my heart broke for her, but my respect for her skyrocketed, because kt takes a lot to confront yourself and face your problems, but to be able to tell thousands of people, takes guts. Shes done such a phenomenal job at being a human being, she does so so much for everyone and I just hope she know absolutely none of it is taken for granted. We love you SO much Maria! 💜🧡

I think it's important for her to know she can take time off for herself. Everyone that has been part of her fan base for the last 5 years will understand she has her own life behind the camera and now has a family of her own. So if she feels like taking 2 weeks, 8 months, or 2 years off she should absolutely do that without the guilty feeling. I hope she's doing ok, we only see her through videos she edits, so no one really knows what else is going on with her and that she also needs time for herself.

There is no one like her in the universe. She is gentle, tender, and so warm with her ways and personality that it comes through very powerfully in her videos. Here in my country we spend 24 hours or so in a funeral When my uncle died I was so overwhelmed with my emotions that I found hard to express them Attending people serving coffee helped me during the time friends and coworkers came to show condolences But at midnight being alone with just my mom and I I just couldn't bare the anxiety and the grief I was unable to express My chest and stomach hurted like hell So I grabbed my phone and lay on a couch, put one of Maria's videos and all the pain started to fade away while slowly falling asleep Maria saved me that night The night I was left alone to suffer at the moments I was being strong for my mom And swallowing my emotions at the point that I couldn't take them out of my chest I can't be grateful enough with you Maria you where there when no one else was.

I wasn't able to attend my grandfather's funeral. I was in another city and not in age to travel alone. We bought a ticket anyways, we tried to find someone to claim to be responsible for me as an adult, but no one agreed, I had to stay. I tried to hide everything that night because I knew my family friends (who I was with) have done everything they were able to and more, and I didn't want to make them more trouble. I still remember how my grandma called me and I immediately started talking about my hamsters, and she didn't even interrupt me till the end, and only after I said her everything I wanted to, she told me he died in the most average yet slightly cracking voice. It was a matter of time, he was incurably ill, but I never thought it will happen so fast, no one thought. We even bought him a very expensive medicine, spending all the money we had in our savings. We though he'll last at least a few months. I wasn't ready for it. I though about how I would've spend more time with him if I knew, I wouldn't stay there, how I wanted to just say goodbye to him. And yet, I knew I can't do anything, and no one can, and so I need to be strong to at least support my family and especially my grandmother. I wasn't able to get out from these thoughts, and I still sometimes think about it all. I feel so at fault. I can't even go to his grave now, because no one can accompany me and going alone there is very dangerous in my country. Videos like these also help me a lot to escape these thoughts in hard times and just stress out a bit. Shame that I didn't find it earlier on. Sorry for the long comment, I just felt the need to share. I hope you're coping with your loss. It can be very hard at times, but stay strong. You're not alone.

I started listening to Maria around when i started high school about 7 or 8 years ago i think, I was in a super bad place and i had a really hard time adjusting and high school ended up being a pretty bad experience but Maria’s videos were such a blessing for me. Just to know that there was someone so kind and loving out there and that she made these videos that brought so much peace and comfort to people, meant so much. This was great Maria!! I loved the concept. The action of "moving the head" was super tingly for me. I also loved the "realism" of when you took the glowing crystal away, it adjusted from dark to light, and from blurry to in focus, like your eyes were actually adjusting to it. I have been following Maria since day 1 she started youtube. So basically i grew up with her. Fun fact (well idk if it's really fun, but a fact nonetheless): Maria said "red is beauty" bc in Ye Olde Russian the word red ("krasny") used to mean "pretty". So the Red Square is actually Pretty Square, and such idioms as "red springtime" or "a red maiden" (for example, Maria herself) are not about the colour, but about loveliness.

A little over a year ago, I discovered Maria's videos while I was lying in bed with the flu and strep. I am chronically ill with sleeping disorders so I was hit hard. I was so depressed. Playing her "Simple Pleasures" video put me at ease so that I could rest and heal. Her videos introduced me to other ASMRtists and now I don't know how I would sleep without these videos. It's even helped with my depression. I'm forever grateful to Maria for showing me this whole other world.
