My biggest tip is pressure and reases. That feel and timing play a big part. That your body is giving out signals that they pick it up even if you don't realize it. Be aware of your body and what signals you're putting out. Just my looking at them and facing them is creating pressure but turning your body sideways and showing your flank that's less intemating. Making them move and cut off their movement then walking away they're tempted to follow you as they see you as a leader. It better to not try and force a horse to learn a completely different language. Because they speak body language, pressure and reases is a big part of their language but not all of it because they speak horse. Watching a horse claim other horses into their herd creating a higharky and bonds. These are the many things we can never teach a horse because we only understand haft the things they say.

Yes it's important to understand horse language for sure

in the wild, horses do drive each other around quite a bit. Stallions do it to his mares. The lead mare will drive the herd by making pressure on the herd and then leading the way to a different area she knows is best. But I am curious how this will turn out with the horses. Thanks for posting this.

Could you tell me a little more about how you worked with gentling 2 unhandled mustangs at the same time. I'd like to get 2 but I'm not sure the best way to work with them in the same pen.
@HarmonyHorsemanship Жыл бұрын
I usually separate them for training
