It's difficult finding people who started from AFROTC and went all the way to CRNA so this video is a goldmine for me. I'm currently at BAMC and I should be dropping my Critical Care package pretty soon. Hopefully for ICU I can get to Walter Reed or Nellis. I'll miss the trauma from BAMC though. Thanks again!

Thank you so much for this video. I have been contemplating which route to take. I went through the process of applying to the air force once, but life happened and had to take a step back. I am now in nursing school going to graduate and I wanted to know which would be a better thought direct sessions or working as a nurse in the Air Force first. Have you found someone who was a direct session to crna?

18 & fresh out of hs. i finished a little early since i got my credits faster but im still class of 2024. i want to become a crna as well & join the af. i have no idea where to start though lmao or what steps to take first. like do i get my bsn first and then apply for this af crna program? or do i join the af first to get my gi bill after active duty & then use that to pay for schooling to get my bsn & if i do it that way, will i be able to still apply to this crna program? so many questions & im afraid to go to a recruiter bc they’ll give me false promises 😂

There are a lot of ways to skin this cat. First ask your self where you are financially and can you afford going to school now versus later. Your first step is getting a BSN. You can always enroll at a state school and have them pay for school by doing AFROTC. From there you will commission and you will need to do 2 years medsurg then icu then CRNA (youll need to get your ccrn in the process with other science prereqs/GRE). Some people do civilian route first as well and get icu then commission then go from there. Ask your self first what your priorities are and go from there.
