I also enjoy clones. That said, I plan to start shifting my focus to building my decant collection. I have more than enough big bottles of clones and designers that small amounts of more expensive stuff will last a while if I save them for special occasions

I actually really like dossier and their scents are impressions because they try to get as close as possible to the real thing but keeping it vegan so even if its not 100% authentic they get very close without any animal products and ive gotten lots of compliments.

I own several and Oakcha is top notch. But they are a wee bit pricey compared to other dupes. Quality and price go hand in hand, often.

I have several of their fragrances with more on the way. I can vouch for them no doubt. True story, I was at an event with a lot of people... I kept smelling a fragrance that reminded me of what I knew to be Oakcha's Oud Satin Mood clone Blue Velvet. I've never smelled Oud Satin Mood but I'm familiar with "Blue Velvet". I ended up asking the guy if he was wearing Oud Satin Mood, he said yes. I thought that was pretty cool.

It's very cool that you explained how the Dossier website seems a little bit shady in the way it could possibly dupe someone into unwanted spending. You always keep it real and I always will support and pull for upstanding people with integrity. Especially in a community that I absolutely am passionate about along with so many others. I'm super stoked that companies are putting out great fragrances and presentations that are more affordable, but at the same time it seems a lot of them are overpriced and uninspiring. Way cool to always explain things in a way that anyone that comes along can understand and make truly informed decisions.

A lot of people say Oud Wood smells like Comet in the opening, so it sounds like Dossier focused on the wrong thing when cloning it lol.

In my experience, Dossier has never been worth it in the two times I gave them tries (total of 6 different ones I got in two separate 3bottle orders). It wasn't an absolute waste because I was able to give them to my much younger nephew who it helped a lot and introduced him to the whole fragrance scene. Just my two cents but they're always "off" by a lot. Extremely synthetic lysol'y and off putting in almost all their openings. Their dry downs are almost en masse boring and don't often smell like what they're cloning while having some of the worst performance ever. I get Dossier's appeal to dude bros who've never had real fragrances or have new noses but in all honesty, they're a sham house and not a clone house. Considering their prices too, just buy lattafa's, al haramains, armaf's etc. That way you get a better quality juice with actual performance.

Same here.... Ash's experience he chronicles here in the first 54 seconds... are exactly mine, as well... and with the same fragrances. I'd need MUCH better experiences from FREE samples from them before giving them another opportunity... and I buy A LOT of fragrances. 😂

I like dua a whole lot more, they're fragrances are more spot on they're all extraits and their atomizers are all pressurized

Dossier is legit I own many from them and they are strong and great quality. I actually won a tltg giveaway for sunny vetiver and neroli. It’s one of their original designs and it slaps harrrrd!

Woody Tobacco smells like a powdery Jazz Club. I actually like it better than the OG. I did smell a newer bottle of Jazz Club at Nordstrom with a friend and it resembled the dossier more than the bottle I got last year from Sephora.

IMO, these days, if they're not spot-on clones (perhaps with poorer performance), then they're only worth perhaps half or even just a third of their asking prices. There are much better options.

I prefer Alexandria fragrances to dossier. I had to return their jazz club clone and I don’t really enjoy the Armani code clone either but it was cheap so I kept it.

My wife had recently gotten into fragrances due to my fairly large collection. She decided to give dossier a try, against my advice. She has fougere oud, I am 100% supporting the windex smell. It does get better as it drys down, nowhere in the cycle of the fragrance does it smell even remotely similar to oud wood.

That’s so weird because I have fougere oud and it doesn’t smell like windex at all. It’s one of my favorites from dossier. I wonder if there are some inconsistencies in their fragrances because I also have ambery saffron which is their #1 best seller and I hate it.

I feel like, without having tried the brand personally so take this with a grain of salt, they have a lean towards feminine fragrances and I’m guessing they’re better in that category. Consistently I see women loving them or at least saying they’re decent for the price and the masculine fragrances are automatic no’s

Walmart carries sample bottles in a few boxes . Definitely not like the og frags. But not bad on thier own got the tom ford ones , lost cherry, tobacco vani, coconut blanco, ill layer them with something else .

I have their clone of F***ing Fabulous and Jazz Club and while they’re not bad, I almost never have a desire to reach for them. My Alhambra clones Blue de Chance. Kismet Moscow, Jorge de Profumo and even my Flavia L’Impression which are all clones that if Im not mistaken cost me less, somehow inspire me to wear them more. Dossier just needs to do something different/better. I actually don’t mind the bottles, magnetic caps and atomizers. That part of things is done pretty well, IMO, but I’m afraid their bottles are going to sit there on my shelf as underwhelming additions to my 200+ collection. You don’t even get that much for how much they charge, so if you do end up liking something, you’ll probably run through it quickly and be spending another $30-40 sooner than you’d like. All around just mediocre experience, and that’s being nice.
