Could it be that because of some IFRA rules they had to change the formulas of the new-old 2024 fragrances, and instead of just quietly changing them they gave them a new-ish release, so people have an easier time distinguish them?

Ash my man, any advice on how we determine what version we have if purchased in 2024? I have 2 factory sealed Intensely backup bottles purchased from Jomashop and Fragrancebuy in May with February 2024 batch codes. Are there distinguishing differences on your box (new barcode, naming, etc) to determine without opening and smelling? My 2022, 2023 and 2024 batch codes all have the exact same ingredients list and match those disclosed on Sephora and Ulta as well as on the Armani site directly. The cinnamal ingredient is there too on all of them and that is the cinnamon note. ALSO, I noticed the Armani ads hitting Facebook in mid summer about the release of Intensely in the US, so I commented on that post like many others did asking if it was a re-formulation being released, and Armani Beauty responded to me and many others saying SWYI was not reformulated and just being officially released in the US with new advertising for that release. I also just found a Reddit post from 4 days ago that emailed Armani and mentioned your video here and Armani Beauty told him the same thing, that it was not reformulated. I'm not finding anything on the Armani sites that reference a limited edition or new formulation, just the same notes and 2019 version ads. What can we point to to confirm and other than a side by side smell test what identifying factors separate the 2 versions if there is a reform?

First blind buy, not sure if it's a newer or older batch, but I enjoy it. I don't know if it's just me, but SWYI smells like a Starbucks Chestnut Praline Latte. Remove the coffee and add lots of warm vanilla.

you say that they removed the violet note, but it is written in the ingredients list on the box you just unpacked 🙄 also the cinnamon. it's the same friggin perfume! it must be the batch or the quality of the ingredients that changed, not the recipe! not to mention, you can't compare an almost empty bottle with plenty of air contact with a new one and first sprays from it. this needs to be adressed

This is something more people should realize. Maceration is a real thing and you would have to give the "new" fragrance some time to break in before being able to accurately test the two side by side.

moin, hab die neue & alte Version - bei der alten steht "eau de parfum fougeree", bei der neuen nur "eau de parfum", außerdem ist die Schrift bei der alten Version minimal kleiner, kommt mir zumindest so vor (natürlich blöd, wenn man nur eine Flasche hat, da man nich vergleichen kann) sonst schau mal nach deinem batchcode bei "checkfresh", ist es ein batch aus 24' & Ende 23', wird es die neue Version sein, ist der batch aus Anfang 23' oder noch eher, ziemlich sicher die alte - so ist es jedenfalls bei mir

I much prefer the new one. It makes the EDT somewhat redundant but the previous Intensely just smelled like dessert to me, was too sticky and sweet for me to wear. The new one is more aromatic and fresh to me, and smells more like a fragrance. The new edition makes more sense as a middle ground between EDT and Absolutely. I find it a lot more likeable.

Is it bc it’s not easy to make the same fragrance balance or os the designer trying to improve? Bc back in the days, if you bought a cologne, it usually smelled the way you expected and the same. Yes I Am The King ICON is a dupe that almost smells identical to this fragrance. It has a much better price point. If you’re not sure on purchasing this then get ICON first because it’s like $40. The older one is deeper in coloration because of fragrance maturity. The ingredients have darkened over time.. Given your whole platform is around fragrances you think you would have known that and or mentioned it.

There are some very slight differences, check the usa disposal advisory text on the bottom and when it drops a line into the sentence below. Very subtle but it’s there.

I have a Nov 23 batch box and the usa disposal advisory section says ‘these carton, cap and’ NEXT LINE DOWN OF TEXT ‘bottle may be collected in’. Whereas Ash’s box says ‘these carton, cap and bottle may be’ NEXT LINE DOWN OF TEXT ‘collected in your local community’. The width of the box has changed so there’s more text on each line. It’s one of the 3 box differences I can find.

@@lorenzopippia5257 I saw your deleted comment about the FIL code, cheers. I’ll look into it and get back to you. KZbin creators create a list of censored words for their channel’s comment section, and you may have used one of those words or phrases, which sends your comment for approval by the creator.
