Ive recently begun making intentional efforts to look for benchmarks in addtion to geocaches. It is fun from a historical point of view. When reading the orignal data sheets you can often gleam little historical details about what conditions were like at the time. Although a good many of the benchmarks around my house have long since been lost to development and construction.

Wow jad no idea those tiny disks on parking lot curves were benchmarks. Awesome. Btw check the ngs logs before looking so you know if it was findable. Also the logs on the geocaching.com benchmark section too. With smartphones amd such now u really only need a handheld gps.

Nah that palm tungsten is a classic. It’s perfect for stuff like this where you need maximum reliability and minimal consoomer fads.
