I was metal detecting deep back in the woods and came across a steel box. Opened it up and there were stamps, a pad of paper, and other trinkets. Didn't know what it was but know I do. Really interesting hobby.

+Quarter Hoarder Geocaching is a lot of fun. Interesting that you just happened to find one out in the woods... I guess the metal detector helps with that :) If you want to get started geocaching, you can see some more of my videos at geogz.com/video to get an idea of the wide variety of geocaching hides that are out there. Thanks for watching and commenting!

That bolt cache is insane!
@GeoDarick8 жыл бұрын
+kennysart There was definitely some skilled machine work that went into hollowing out that bolt. The area around the sign was landscaped, so we spent some time searching for something else before we realized that bolt was loose. Thanks for watching and commenting Kenny!

nice cache run

+Brent Smith aka Simrebel (simrebel) Thanks Brent! We didn't let the rain hold us down... but we had to settle for some LPCs and other less "high adventure" caches. Still good to get some smileys! Thanks for watching and commenting :)

Great to see you and the guys out caching. Like Kenny said, That bolt cache was insane! Who would've thought to loosen the nut?
@GeoDarick8 жыл бұрын
+Geohnny Cache The thing that made it interesting is that it was not the only bolt and nut on the post... generally with a fake bolt cache, you just touch it and find out it is fake. In this case, there were several... all the same, and you had to realize one was actually loose and could be unscrewed. Pretty crazy... thanks for watching and commenting Ron!

Love Couple of Bucks , he's adorable! He was so nonchalant when he got that skirtlifter. That bolt one, whoa, evil! Love me some geocaching. Your videos are interesting, and your song is so cute. Is that you singing?

+Geocaching With WoodenNichols Haha, yeah, love that coupleofbucks stealth! A lot of the music in my videos is from my favorite band, Carbon Leaf. I do have one video where I sing the intro and outro though: Lock and Lock Geocache with a Creative Twist geogz.com/video/7TT6jr8O1q0 Unfortunately my recording equipment isn't that good and I was not satisfied with this one, so I only used it the one time. But check out Carbon Leaf, great music: www.carbonleaf.com Thanks for your nice comment, I appreciate the feedback! Happy caching :)

Love quick finds and the new plastic, much quieter LPC covers...skirt lifting without the noise. Nice construction and execution on the bolt cache. How did you figure that one out? Congrats on getting 13 caches. Thanks for sharing.

+scottinojaivideos (gsmX2) The bolt cache was quite a challenge... we started searching all the usual spots and the landscaping around there. I don't think any of the logs gave it away, but there was something in one that finally triggered in my mind the possibility of the cache being hidden in the bolt. I have found fake magnetic bolts before, but wasn't used to disassembling things to make the find. Glad we got the smiley on that one. Thanks Scott!

wow does that bolt one have a good hint? I can see that getting a lot of DNFs. Including me if I was to look for that one. Very clever though.
@GeoDarick8 жыл бұрын
+JamieLP3 (Stardustzzz) +JamieLP3 (Stardustzzz) No, in fact, the cache description states that no hints will be given. It is a 3.5/1.5 with 75 favorite points, 242 finds and 39 DNFs. We spent quite a bit of time there but we were happy to walk away with the smiley. Thanks for watching and commenting, Jamie!
