I made one with Powerade caps. They don’t seal though, you have to use some epoxy or glue. Thanks for the ideas!

how can i do this without a vice i live in a small apartment and am looking for cache making contatiners
@GeoDarick Жыл бұрын
It is a little trickier, but I have also had success forcing the cap onto the cut end by placing it on the concrete garage floor and using the heel of my shoe to slowly shift my weight onto the cap. Hope that is helpful... happy caching!

Very nice idea, but that's not waterproof, bro. I would add a little adhesive like E6000 or silicone to seal the "extra" lid. I want to try your idea. Thanks.

Super late to the geocache party! Lol my littles and I have found 2 so far on our island lol but they really want to start hiding some too, which is how I found this video! Thank you for sharing! Can’t wait to watch the rest of your channel!

These containers are NOT water/air tight. I've had to use super glue or epoxy to make it so.

Seems like on every multi-day county run I do there is always that key holder 15 feet up a lamp pole. I am taking a fiberglass fish tape from Harbor Fright with a piece of coat hanger wire a duck tape. I can use the coat hanger wire to configure the needed tip and then screw together the needed number of pieces of the fish tape. Broken down, it does not take up much space in the car.

Glad to hear it Kris. I haven't had to replace one of these in quite awhile... they hold up great if you don't mess up the cutting part. Happy caching! :)

Hey Dan! I just wanted you to know that we are cleaning up the Geocaching Network official membership list. This is to ensure we have an updated list of all active channels. The committee has decided any channel that has not posted a geocaching video longer than 4 month will be deleted. However, if you you want to still be included post a geocaching related video in the next 2 weeks. (Deadline March 6) and we will keep you on the list. if you do get deleted know that we will welcome you back with open arms when you geocaching videos are consistent once again. Thanks, Joshua "The Geocaching Vlogger"

So confused. Why are people signing pieces of paper instead of using NFC or RFID technology for digital signatures and PDF "treasure" downloads. We could be leaving digital gift cards to restaurants etc as treasure.

Wow...it's been a while. Welcome back. Nice tags. It looks like they did a nice job with their lab caches. I am not sure that I noticed. Will you be coming to GeoWoodstock? Thanks for sharing.
@GeoDarick6 жыл бұрын
We got a good tour of Manhattan, KS doing the lab caches, yes! They also had some fun gadget caches which I will feature in my next video and then my dad and I spent the balance of the day with Gary Slinkard and his wife logging as many different cache icons as we could... stay tuned! I'm afraid I will not be at the GIGA... we will be celebrating with our high school graduate that weekend. Thanks for watching and commenting Scott!

The GeoKids are good sports to join me for a bit of Father's Day caching, for sure. These were definitely a cut above our usual finds and the kids definitely had an appreciation for it, even if it hasn't converted them into regular cachers. Thanks for watching and commenting!

When you scrape the top of the bottle on the drive way could you use sand paper?
@GeoDarick7 жыл бұрын
Definitely... my driveway works very well as a rather rough sandpaper for managing a rather poor cut, but you could use sandpaper for sure... just might take a little more effort depending on the grade of sandpaper and how well you made your cut initially. Thanks so much for watching and commenting!

CAN YOU USE WHERIGO ON A GPS DEVICE ❓ HELP? I'm retiring now and what to step up my geocaching game. I keep seeing "wherigo" popping up but don't understand. Is it that wherigo will that you to a first clue location , then you have to enter the right answer to get more clues to finally lead you to the actual cache ❓ Also, how do I use L4C (Looking for cache) app to Hide a cache of my own❓

I use an app on my phone to help me find whereigo caches. This page probably will give you better information than I could provide. www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=127&pgid=172 Happy caching!
