Thank you so much! It could be done with so many colors! What colors would you choose if you were to create one?

@@ArtisanDesignConcepts Pretty much the same-I wanted to add cellophanes under some spots to mimic inlaid opal. What do you think? I love your taste level.

Those colors would look great! I would suggest doing some samples with the cellophane. I didn’t have much luck with it. I didn’t like the wrinkled look. You’d also have to leave those areas clear or translucent to see that effect underneath.

Beautiful, good to know the cooler temperature will cause the epoxy to continue to flow longer. I have had that issue and didn't know why. Great job of changing course and making a beautiful table.

Great save! Definitely made it bold and defined by adding the drips.😍

Thank you! Adding the drips is such a cool way to add design but you have to be patient and let it set up a while. Waiting is the hardest part for me! Have you tried this technique?

@@ArtisanDesignConcepts after watching the video..... i planned and started a table top..well 35 minutes in i didnt like the color combination as much so i kicked into save the work gear, 😅 From chambers to everything in between. Your video/ videos helped out a lot. The customers loved it 😂 if only they knew...
@ArtisanDesignConcepts

@@rickgarcia3464 that is so awesome! Sometimes we just have to step back and ask ourselves “What can we do at this point to save it?” It may not look exactly the way you had planned, but many times it’s even better! It happens more often than people think. I don’t always video that part, but I like being transparent and showing people that even as professionals who do this every day, we face obstacles that we have to fix, and that it’s totally possible to do it.

@@ArtisanDesignConcepts I wish I would've recorded it , customer gave me 2 types of designs, welll...... once it was all set and done I combined both of them for a very unique piece lol I've been trying to send it to you so you could see the finished piece and in some areas you could still see the original geode design

I know that you are making the piece to sell either as a countertop, table, or whatever but after putting so much work, and yes heart and soul into making a piece do you sometimes feel reluctant to let the piece go?

There are definitely some that I fall in love with but ultimately it makes me happier knowing my art makes someone else happy in their home or office. Their reaction to it. Their smiles. All worth it!

How can we keep those alcohol effects in the epoxy?
@ArtisanDesignConcepts
@ArtisanDesignConcepts 2 жыл бұрын
If you use 91% or 99% isopropyl alcohol and do it later in the pour once the epoxy has set up a bit, they will hold. If using Stonecoat Countertop epoxy I’d wait until about 45 minutes in to the pour. The more fluid it is, the less chance it’ll hold. But don’t wait too long or it won’t make any impact. Doing samples will help as well.
