Just got my Carpuride 2 days ago and velcro yesterday. I have the same situation that you described. The arm sticks out too far, and the unit blocks my vision if i try to stick it on the windshield or the dash. Jeep life, right?

Don't think it's designed for that. You can check with the company to verify.

How do you identify which rear light wire to connect with the red camera wire ?

Use a 12v tester-check the wires and find the one that reads 12v when the car is in reverse.

When I connect the camera, and reverse it makes the screen go blank…. Or shows picture for a split second and goes blank. I have led taillights… do you think that could be the issue

Hey Geo I have a weird question. Have you ever used an Electric Pre Shave Lotion with a Safety Razor? I just bought a Carpuride 10.3 for a very old jeep but WITHOUT the backup camera (on purpose). I bought separately a 360 bird view camera system, but the installation of the later is going to be messy so I wont do it on my own. I asked the Carpuride people if this setup will work and they “somehow” answered “yeah sure” but zero guarantees… Im not sure they really understand English… did u ever consider a better camera system?
