I played the song for my sisters without showing them the video. She said, "this ensemble is just really proud of their bass" and I said, "You're not going to believe this".

If you watch Geoff's older videos, you'll see he used to drop his right shoulder when he was doing a low note😂. Now it's just the hand. I just love his higher register too and this has become my favourite Carol ever.

Loved your discussion of what I call "a cappella hands". I notice it most in a cappella groups. It's fascinating to me.

Geoff is such a master arranger. Welcome to Carol of the Bells as you've never heard it before.

As a singer, I can confirm that conducting with your hands absolutely helps with controlling your pitch, especially if you’re a more visual or physical learner. Also Geoff talks with his hands constantly as well, so it’s not just when he’s singing 😂

To me the strings sound "shimmery".Thank you guys. Hope your holidays are filled with joy and good times.

This is why I love listening to different reactors -- you all bring something different to the table. I play the guitar, but have never even tried to play the violin, so I know nothing about rosin or bow pressure -- any of that. I knew it sounded cool at the beginning, but now I know WHY! Thank you!!

Yay, 'Carol of the bells - the Geoff-ified version' is truly epic, and Geoff and his Geoff-ettes are really all you need. ❤ I hope you both had a good Christmas with family and food. ❤

Finally man!!! Yay! He did everything in this himself. EVERYTHING. I think his wife Kathy did the camera work, oh and she chose and booked that lovely venue, but ALL of it was Geoff, which is absolutely astonishing to me. About those hand movements...conductors gotta conduct! I do it all the time, and most singers who double as directors do it all the time. It's a hard habit to break! LOL

Y'all are hysterical!😂 Music teachers from now on will be telling their students to "catch the note so it doesn't put a hole in the floor" and "make sure that note doesn't hit you in the face!"😂😂

Thanks for reacting to this EPIC carol! Geoff nailed it as usual! Music is a universal language that brings us all together!!😊❤ Happy New Year to you and yours!!

Surprising thing about those violins? Those are Geoff on his piano with a particular plugin. I find that amazing. I don’t know enough to say how much is the way he plays it on the keyboard or only the quality of the plugin. Obviously the plugin choice makes a huge difference. But if that was all it was we would hear the like of this more often.

Thanks for this reaction to Geoff's epic Christmas release. Only a little over a couple of weeks after release this one exceeded one million KZbin views on Christmas Eve. I have run out of superlatives! A five octave vocal range is a powerful thing. I agree...one aspect of enjoying Geoff's videos is how pleasant his voice sounds across his wide range. I enjoy the unexpected ways that Geoff arranges music nearly as much as his vocals. Geoff adds all of the instrumentals himself using his keyboard and plug-ins. Geoff and Kathy filmed this the day before Thanksgiving, he edited "like crazy," then released it to his patrons three days later. When you read the video description credits, you see that he (and Kathy) mostly do it all themselves. Judging by his album art, the Geoffquakes did some damage!

Love your reactions 😂🫶🏻 This song is EPIC ❤ Geoff's covers are always so well arranged, his voice is superbe (like always), but the instrumentals in this one were next level 😮 The "middle Geoff" had a way to stare down the camera, like he was going into battle... I felt a little scared and intimidated 😮 I'm not much into all these normal cheesy Christmas songs, but this one... good Lord... I'm listening to it on repeat since it dropped (literally 😂) 👍🏻

I truly think, as far as instrumental arrangements go, this is Geoff's best one. From those strings you pointed out at the beginning to the percussion, the cinematic feel of this took a Christmas carol we've heard a million times and turned it into something I'd expect to hear in next year's trailer for "Red Two." I haven't seen a Geoff song get passed around Facebook and music forums this much since "Far Over the Misty Mountains High." Hope you both had a merry Christmas with your families. See y'all in 2025.

EPIC!! We know Geoff can go low, but his arrangement and performance was spectacular. Geoff arranged, performed, filmed and edited this video. He is the "One Man Band." I love his role in Voiceplay, but it is such a treat to see him show his full ensemble. Thank you for this Christmas reaction!

the problem nowdays is that people want to work for a few days and have enough money to live for at least a month in upper middle class conditions. music is one of the areas that can give the illusion that making a single song in a week is enough to live from for a long time. the same is true for game dev/yt creators and streaming. the people think that puttin in a few months of work and releasing a game is enough to live from it for the next few years. sadly this isn't how it works. besides that people don't actually want to be famous. they want to be rich and think to be rich you need to be famous.

Happy new year! Thanks for the video, I'm not sure what to make of you talking about other people 13 minutes into the music video you're responding to ... sure, yes you can, it's your channel, other channels are talking about the vocal technique, some passages in the melody or music and so on... that irritates me.... I haven't seen any other reactions on your channel, but I have a feeling you are using this reaction to talk about other topics ... maybe it would be better to make a separate video about such topics and stay closer to the video you are reacting to.

Interesting aside, one of HE'S first viral videos became so due to the arguments in the comments about Chris wearing his Hat in church. Lol just like you said fame can suck but if it's what you were chasing. Well either suck it up be grateful you're relevant Or retire.
