I think the fact that he’s got such a tremendous range really points out the split personality of Jack really well. The melancholy is balanced with the menace. It’s OK that you didn’t get around to it last year. It’s just as good this year. It really gave him a chance to give us a glimpse of his acting skills as well. He looks sad at times and then fierce at others. But it’s not just his facial expressions is his posture it’s the use of his hands, he’s pretty much the whole package. He thought this song was so sad so he added Jack discovering the snowfall at the very end.

Geoff is a great actor, you can feel the despair as you said. But he wanted a bit of a hopeful ending that did not exist in the song. Hence the outro, where Jack discovers snow. That tiny hint was just wonderful!

Geoff's Jack's Lament is really fun. Thanks for your reaction! On Geoff's solo channel, he does all of the instrumentation on his keyboard with plugins. You can't see his "clones" in all of his videos, but you can hear them. Geoff does his own video editing and it is so well done. Geoff and Kathy are committed to the details!
