These 100 year floods come around pretty quickly, I'm 71 and have seen several in my lifetime.

Iv driven the road to westport 50 times and I never would imagine the river would ever rise that high its usually 30 feet lower even after heavy rain....way better footage than any thing the unless MSM had on the television...thanks for the effort its appreciated!!.😎🇳🇿

Bad for the built up areas but the agricultual fraternity must be finding things difficult too. That river looks horrendous. The road is so close in places. The world seems to be going crazy.

Good on ya mate you saved me a wet trip ..was going to drive over and have a look at Hawkes crag ,,thats an insane amount of water flowing through there .... Keep up the good work ..........one question what is the brand and model of the drone that you use ?.... im thinking of getting one cheers

Well, well. watching new TV series called scenic river journeys showing here a week ago, and got a buzz seeing it was the Buller, some lovely drone shots of the river, gave a great perspective that you don't get driving the road. Then the floods and the shot at 0.29 flashed on the TV screen and I sez" Ah ha, I've seen that before! well there you go....

Impressive images of Hawks Crag. Looks like your wagon photo-bombed 'Stuff's' lead story this morning (Sat, 0900). Nice!

That's a crazy ammount of water at Hawkes crag - the gorge is full! That's over 10m above usual water level. If the road gave out and anyone ended up in the drink I wouldn't like your odds
@geoffmackley3 жыл бұрын
True, i ve only seen it like that once.
