God so loved the world. Homily for the 4th Sunday of Lent, Year B.

The Prologue to John’s gospel is like an orchestral overture; it sounds notes that will resonate throughout the symphony. It is the key to the interpretation of the entire gospel. Today I’d like to focus upon two notes sounded in the Prologue: Firstly, darkness and light, and secondly, salvation.
