Tornados in Germany aren't as big as the ones in the US, plus, German houses are built to withstand all kind of weather.

ach nix Bears are extinct in Germany for over 200 years. In 2006 a bear named “Bruno” crossed over the alps and was sighted in southern Germany but was shot down shortly after that.

Those outlets are the EU standard so basically every European country use them. Really practical when you’re travelling in Europe (not too big of a point now off course) except for the UK if I remember correctly. So you’ll probably see a lot of them in future videos. 😅

We don’t have tornados in Germany or at least when we have a tornado somewhere (which is really rare) they are really weak compared to the tornados you have in the USA. Mostly we only have landspouts. 💁🏻‍♀️
@Chouyren
@Chouyren 3 жыл бұрын
Tornadoes do happen here in Germany sometimes but mostly they are in the lower F categories. However that doesn't mean they are not dangerous. Even F1 or F2 tornadoes can blow off rooftiles or topple some trees which can be deadly if you're close by.
@amandaziccatti6195
@amandaziccatti6195 3 жыл бұрын
Chouyren Yeah, we have them in Germany but they are by far not as common and not as dangerous as they are in the USA. Landspouts are more common. I live in Nothern Germany and so far I’ve only ever experienced landspouts here. I know that in the Eifel region was a tornado last year, but like I said they are not as common as they are in the US.

@@amandaziccatti6195 well I live in southern Germany (near Stuttgart) and there was a Tornado in a neighboring town in 2007 and it destroyed many roofs and trees. It was only a F1 Tornado. But even if there are stronger ones sometimes there's a big reason why they aren't as deadly as they are in the US: We have brick houses. Sure we might lose rooftiles or even the entire roof as well as have some broken windows but the house will still be there. That said F4 - F5 Tornadoes would likely destroy even brick houses but according to Wikipedia they only happen like every 30 years (F4) or once in 100 years (F5) in Germany and even then they might not even hit an inhabited area.

@@amandaziccatti6195 As the other comments already mentioned, German tornados are far weaker on average, then tornados in the USA, while the more powerful versions are non-existent. But they are actually very frequent. The lowest tier of tornados, which is called "Windhose" in German, happens more often, than a tornado appears in the USA on average. So they are more common, but not a big deal, because they are usually rather weak.

He, that intro was really good, for someone try it the first time!! But please do it like the Germanns, as you say Porsche, there is a E at the end, we speak it with the E at the end, so it's Porsche not Porsch. Ahm our tornados are mutch smaler then yours in th US, most of the Time in the news the say "Windhose", they are smaller as i said:)

If u want many castles, u should also visit Austria, not as much got destroyed in the war same is for cities vienna is nicer than German cities, because it wasn’t completely burned down, so there is more left, but of course Bavaria has beautiful castles 2, and Munich is a lovely city.

The whole economic wonder thing is kind of a German myth that politicians like to use in order to not regulate businesses as much as they sometimes should. We do definitely have a far more humane version of capitalism than the US, but it's still capitalism, so kinda inhumane, nonetheless. Btw, I am not "proud" of Germany, because I feel like you can't be proud of an entire country and I don't like nationalism. Patriotism is often a slippery slope to nationalism, so you gotta be careful with that. Here in Germany, we know what happens when nationalists (Nazis) take over. The US basically has widely embraced nationalism with your creepy pledge of allegiance, the way you treat your flags and soldiers, etc. To me all of that stuff is highly concerning and unnecessary leftovers of the cold war.
@nikolaiquack8548
@nikolaiquack8548 3 жыл бұрын
@M&M Ok, first of all, I never called you specifically a Nazi. All I was saying is that patriotism and quickly slip into nationalism which is by definition destructive. And I do know what nationalism is, thank you very much. "National socialism" is a bullshit term btw. The Nazis only used some "social" policies as a cover. They were never actual socialists. In fact, they hated socialism and especially communism.

Comparing "Plattdeutsch" with Dutch and Amish? You're kidding me!! Plattdeutch is nothing more than "German language with a bit of common slang". The (first) Amish are people who came from Switzerland (German speaking part), and that's why they still use many German words. The boys in this clip (and probably their other clips of countries) sometimes did their "homework" but not (let's say) all the way.Btw. what's missing (probably a lot 😉) is that all of the non-German tv-shows and movies are'nt subtitled but use voice overs in German, so you never hear how a foreign actor is sounding for real. Me, as a Dutchman, like to hear the "original" and can choose to listen to what's been said or read the subtitles. So, that's my opinion.
