Well I think the main reason why the Allies devided Austria-Hungary so much is simply cuz there were so many nations within that as a separate states would be lesser threath and great buffer zone against new rising Soviet Russia .. And even if Hungary will claim all those Hungarians outside of your hearthland with those lands u would still have like 60% less territory as the Kingdon had in previous centuries .. So its just .. well Kingdom was so diverse it was miracle it held together for almost like 1000 years .. But no hard feelings from Slovakia/ Upper Hungary 🇸🇰🇭🇺

Fun fact: in the middle ages at one pont the Kingdom of Hungary had a personal union with Poland and Croatia, as well as Bohemia. So techically you could say Hungary expanded from the Baltic Sea to the Mediterranean sea. Not speaking about our king, who was also the emperor in the Holy Roman Empire. So at one point the biggest and most powerful country in Europe was actually Hungary (or more like Austria-Hungary)

In Hungary the most successful sport is kayaking. In 2021 the World Championship in Maraton kayaking ended with the following table: 1. Hungary, 11 golds, 10 silver, and 2 bronze medals. 2nd was Denmark 3-2-1, and the third was Ukraine with 2-0-2 medals. The Maraton kayaking will never be on the program of the Olimpic Games. Taking into account the total population Hungary is the No1 in the number of Nobel prizes and the Olympic medals in the World.

Hungary was wrecked after World War I of most of their territory due to participating in the war on German side as Austria - Hungary. American president Roosevelt found those terms to severe, but France convinced them and the UK to punish Hungarians so much because they had cordial relations to Romania, who was on allies side in WW1 and was close ally to France.

2/3 of the Kingdom of Hungary went to Yugoslavia, Romania, and Czechoslovakia. But the fact that less than half of the population of the Kingdom of Hungary was Hungarian cannot be denied either. It was only a matter of time before that would happen. After the defeat in World War I, the Austrian-Hungarian Monarchy broke up and the successor states were formed.

Not Roosevelt but Wilson. In pre-WW1 era Europe, only three countries declared and enacted minority rights, and minority protective acts, The first was Hungary (1849) second was Austria (1867), and the third was Belgium (1898). No other countries tolerated any forms of minority rights (not even cultural rights) on their territory in Europe. In July 1849, the Hungarian Revolutionary Parliament proclaimed and enacted the WORLD's FIRST laws on ethnic and minority rights. It gave minorities the freedom to use their mothertongue at local administration, at tribunals, in schools, in community life and even within the national guard of non-Magyar councils. However these laws were overturned after the united Russian and Austrian armies crushed the Hungarian Revolution of 1848. After the Kingdom of Hungary reached the Compromise with the Habsburg Dynasty in 1867 (Ausgleich), one of the first acts of the restored Hungarian Parliament was to pass a Law on Nationalities (Minority rights law: the act number XLIV of 1868). The situation of minorities in Hungary was not even comparable to the contemporary pre WW1 Europe. Other highly multiethnic /multinational countries were: France Russia and UK. See the multi-national UK: The situation of Scottish Irish and Welsh people in "Britain" during the English hegemony is well known. They utmost forgot their original language, only English language cultural educational institutions existed. The only language was English in judiciary procedures and in offices and public administrations. In Wales Welsh children were beaten by their teachers if they spoke Welsh among each others. This was the infamous “Welsh Not” policy... The contemporary Irish question and tensions are well documented. The situation of Ireland was even a more brutal and bloody story. It was not a real "United" Kingdom, it was rather a greater England. Let's don't forget: The English legal system did not know even basic the minority rights (neither linguistic rights) for aboriginal minorities (Scots, Welsh) until the post ww2 period. See the multiethnic France: In the era of the Great French revolution, only 25% of the population of Kingdom of France could speak the French language as mothertongue. But even in 1870, France was still similar-degree multi-ethnic state as Hungary, only 50% of the population of France spoke the French language as mothertongue. The other half of the population spoke Occitan, Breton, Provençal, Catalan, Corsican, Alsatian, West Flemish, Lorraine Franconian, Gallo, Picard or Ch’timi and Arpitan etc... Many minority languages were closer to Spanish languages or Italian language than French) French governments banned minority language schools, minority language newspapers minority theaters. They banned the usage of minority languages in offices , public administration, and judiciary procedures. The ratio of french mothertongue increased from 50% to 91% during the 1870-1910 period!!! The situation in German Empire was well known (Polish territories and Sorbs) Just look some Eastern countries in the oreintal so-called Eurasian (aka. Orthodox) civilization : The legal system of pre-WW1 Kingom of Serbia did not know minority rights. Also, the legal system of pre-WW1 Kingdom of Romania did not know minority rights. Pre WW1 Kingdom of Romania was the only country in pre WW1 era Europe which did not grant citizenship and suffrage for ethnic minorities, despite they represented rougly 20% of the population. Morover, Kingdom of Romania applied strong anti-Semitic disciminative laws against Jewish people, which was similar to Tzarist Russia. Slavery disappeared during the high medieval period on Western Christian European soil, however it existed in Romanian territories until the mid 19th century! The Gypsy slavery and slave markets were abolished only in 1852!!! (Gypsies of Romania had similar status like blacks in USA before the civil war. Just examine the high contrast between Kingdom of Hungary and contemporary pre WW1-era Europe: The so-called "Magyarization" fantasy was not so harsh as the contemporary western European situation, because the minorities were defended by minority rights and laws. Contemporary Western European legal systems did not know the minority rights, therefore their political leaders loudly and proudly covered up their minorities by the force of law. 1.Were there minority primary schools in Western European countries? NO. 2. How many official languages existed in Western-European states? Only 1 official language! 3. Could minorities use their languages in the offices of public administration in self-governments , in tribunals in Western Europe? No, they couldn't. 4. What about newspapers of ethnic minorities in Western Europe? They did not exist in the West.... We can continue these things to the infinity. 5. Were minority languages allowed in ny cultural institutions in Western European countries? No, they were not. The Austro-Hungarian compromise and its supporting liberal party remained bitterly unpopular among the ethnic Hungarian voters, and the continuous successes of these pro-compromise liberal parties in the Hungarian parliamentary elections caused long lasting frustration for Hungarians. The ethnic minorities had the key role in the political maintenance of the compromise in Hungary, because they were able to vote the pro-compromise liberal parties into the position of the majority/ruling parties of the Hungarian parliament. The pro-compromise liberal parties were the most popular among ethnic minority voters, however i.e. the Slovak, Serb and Romanian minority parties remained unpopular among their own ethnic minority voters. The coalitions of Hungarian nationalist parties - which were supported by the overwhelming majority of ethnic Hungarian voters - always remained in the opposition, with the exception of the 1906-1910 period, where the Hungarian-supported nationalist parties were able to form a government.[48]🇭🇺✌🏻...

Another interesting fact, Hitler knew about this and it created a strategical nightmare in WWII . Another thing, they shown Horthy and Hitler riding together in the car. At the time Horthy had far more respect and other nation leaders than Hitler. At points in history before WWII started, many of the leaders with royal linage from princesses and dukes and so on did not feel comfortable with the painter guy from Austria who won a political vote, but otherwise considered as a nobody.

Well, we need to get that 99.9 percent of the humans can not pronounce Hungarian words properly, and we should not blame anyone for this, it is not so easy. Like in case of mandarin language. But Hungarian is even more unique, since less than 15 million people speak it as a native speaker and probably less than 30 million people understand it. It is a gem. Unique knowledge, which was destroyed by European and Asian people, mostly Turks, Russians, Germans, French, Romanians, basicly all of its neighbours. But still gave so many unique things to the world.

It was the same in the case of Hungary, they supported other rulers. I was not talking about a nation, but a state. Many nations lived in Transylvania, which lived in symbiosis with each other. But Transylvania was clearly under Hungarian leadership. All the princes were Hungarians (except Mihály Vitéz), the aristocracy was also made up of Hungarians. When the Habsburgs took away some of the rights of the Hungarians, it was only in the western parts. Transylvania maintained its independence until 1848 and remained under Hungarian control. After the events of '48, Transylvania was re-annexed to Hungary, so the eastern region was under clear central Hungarian control. It remained that way until 1919

So to explain the „Slovakia wasn’t a country yet“ Austria-Hungary was a kingdom comprised of Austria and Hungary and Czechoslovakia now Czech Republic and Slovakia , Yugoslavia and Romania and parts of Ukraine and Poland were part of this massive country. So Slovakia as the country only started to exist around 100 years ago with the end of world war 1 and many Hungarians want to have the old borders restored

At the end, when you are amazed at how big the country used to be, it's really funny. Well, yes, Hungary has always been this big. It was only after the First World War that the country was torn apart, so that at the moment of the fall, there were no enemy soldiers on the territory of Hungary, in fact, the Hungarian army was several kilometers into the enemy's territory. It was torn apart at Trianon because it was too strong in Europe (It pinched the eyes of the French and the English). And since Hungary is bordered by itself, only other countries received it, so there will never be peace and thus it will never be strong again. The reason is that in the territory of present-day Hungary there are a large number of Hungarian speakers (marked in purple 13:41) because in all the surrounding countries they persecuted the Hungarians and could not use their language, for example in Romania and Ukraine they beat and killed those who used the Hungarian language. (The Hungarians never did that. By the way, Slovakia didn't even exist until the end of the First World War, it was created artificially, you can get a sweater that says: I'm older than Slovakia. (Countries that also lost in the First World War also received territories from Hungary) We also have a strange habit of not toasting with beer. We just raise it and say FALL/FALL ON TRIANO.

According to historians and cartographers, the determination of the new Trianon borders was based on lies, because at the time of the peace dictate, many more Hungarians lived in the then annexed area and there were also uninhabited areas (due to forests and mountains), which were designated as inhabited areas for the benefit of foreign nations.. Due to the unfriendly oppression of minorities and, for example, the Hungarian population resettlement program of the new Slovak state (which was falsely called a population exchange program) or the effect of the Benes Decrees, the number of people living outside the Hungarian borders decreased greatly. Of course, almost no one talk about this. No one liked to talk about it, because everyone was afraid of the communist retaliation during the communist occupation, which lasted for 44 years, they didn't even allow a social solution to the issue! The Western powers dismembered the territory of the Kingdom of Hungary after the 1st World War, then threw it to the communists after the 2nd World War, and they didn't even help in 1956! It's a shame!
