I have something very important to tell you! ❤JESUS LOVES YOU! ❤ ▪ We are all sinners, because all have sinned and lack the glory of God. ▪Everyone was lost, so God Great in Love gave His Son Jesus, to come into the world, die for humanity and forgive our sins. ▪Jesus lived among us, like us, but without sin, and one day they took Jesus, wounded him and placed him on the cross, and there He died. On the third day, the Lord Jesus rose, ascended to heaven and is alive, sitting at the right hand of God, and one day he will return to seek those who have accepted him in their hearts. ▪Now God says: receive, believe in Him, put your trust and faith in Him, I will forgive your sins, and I will guarantee you Eternal Life in heaven, all of this is yours and for free. All you need to do is receive !.

Loved the video! I'm a Grenadian born & bred :) I appreciate the research that was put into this and the amount of accurate information that was shared about the beautiful Spice Isle. :) With our revolution however, basically a faction of his own party wanted to take control & so killed & imprisoned some of his die hard supporters & took over the country. The U.S had been watching Grenada for a while due to their buddy buddy status with Cuba (who they were enemies with) & so now had an opportunity to come into the island & "intervene". Many were killed & there were other negative effects, but they did stop the revolution in Grenada. Kiriani James is actually Kirani James and the music soca, is pronouced "sow-cah". Any whose again I enjoy the channel! Keep it up :v

just wanted to point out to people... Maurice Bishop was loved by a lot of Grenadians, its easy to take this brief gloss over as he was some kinda of dictator or something. His death was just a reason for the US to send troops and quell a movement. But regardless the ones who murdered him, were not good people, and were not gonna be able to lead like he could. I advise you to look him up on youtube and watch him speak, very intelligent man. Geography Now is a blessing...

Grenada is a sovereign state in the West Indies in the Caribbean Sea at the southern end of the Grenadines island chain. Grenada consists of the island of Grenada itself plus six smaller islands which lie to the north of the main island. It is located northwest of Trinidad and Tobago, northeast of Venezuela and southwest of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Its size is 348.5 square kilometres (134.6 sq mi), and it had an estimated population of 112,200 in July 2018. Its capital is St. George's. Grenada is also known as the "Island of Spice" due to its production of nutmeg and mace crops. The national bird of Grenada is the critically endangered Grenada dove.

Loved the video of my Island home for 3 years! Did want to mention that it's probably inaccurate to say Grenada is right in the middle of hurricane territory. Yes they do get hit occasionally but it's further south than the path of the majority of Atlantic hurricanes. Not to say it doesn't happen, as recent events prove, but the video makes it sound like it's a frequent occurence and it really isn't. Great video though, heavily enjoyed, made me miss it!

The situations surrounding Maurice Bishop and what happened at that time is not the same as the "official" story presented here. You need to go to Grenada to get the real story. PS this is not a dig at this dude :) I think he is awesome and I love this channel. It's just that I was in Grenada at the time and saw a different side :)

I am from Grenada, and my family has been involved with Grenadian politics. With that being said, even though 98% of the information you provided is correct, I will dispute the Maurice Bishop info.

Your comments about Maurice Bishop are distasteful. He was a great man who fought for the people, helped build the small island's economy and literacy in short 4 years more than the British did in their 300 years of colonial control. Under his leadership Grenada "almost" became a shining beacon for other nations coming out from under European domination. If Maurice Bishop was so hated why is the international airport in his name? You should find out the true story and not spread Reagan era propaganda.
@SeanR19746 жыл бұрын
indeed, by all accounts "Sir" Eric Gairy was far worse... and he was knighted.
@michakosek93146 жыл бұрын
Which statement are you disagrering with exactly? Barby said Bishop was hated BY HIS CABINET and that's obviosly true, after all, they killed him.
@SeanR19746 жыл бұрын
maybe that's because they wanted a hardline communism, and Maurice was a bit more... moderate? I guess.
@michakosek93146 жыл бұрын
Sean R That's exactly what the video says. They killed him, so they were obviously hardliners. Maurice didn't want to join the Soviet bloc, so he was clearly more moderate. I still can't see what was so "distasteful" in what Barby said about Bishop.

Agreed,the Bishop section was distasteful in my opinon too. He fought for his people. and stood up to nations trying to use and exploit Grenada. Please people do your own research on him if you are interested.

as a person of Grenadian descent great job. the information was spot on. only thing the music soca is pronounced (soo-car) and not (soccer)

One inaccuracy that you had was that the medical students you mentioned that wanted to be rescued actually requested that BECAUSE of the impending US invasion, not because of a lack of safety where they were in Grenada. The intervention was a violation of international law and probably shouldn’t be celebrated.

The English speaking countries pronounce it like Gre-nay-da. In Greek we pronounce it Gre-nah-dah and I think most countries pronounce it like that.

Thats an american accent way of pronouncing it.. In Canada we pronounce more in the style of the british way so we pronounce O like AW or OH and their version of O sounds more like AH in general closer to the lips..(especially if youre from boston)... so we say gAWD or gOHd (which sounds more british) where americans tend to pronounce it like GAHwd its just a regional accent thing....or sORry and they pronounce the same word without the ORRRR (hard consonant R sound) but with an AW.. (again this influence came from Boston where the Rs were dropped so the O sound moved to more of the front of the pallet to sound like AH) so candians would say SORRY SAWry...while bostonians drop the R completely like drop Ya AHs instead of drop youR Rs... its just a regional accent thing that started in eastern america and then sort of influenced how they pronounced other vowels like OH (turning them into more AH type) so in a nutshell he is pronouncing it correctly given his accent... which affects how the sound of the vowels are communicated when speaking.
