Just thought I'd leave you a quick update: The album is still being processed by Ditto music, much to my annoyance, but should be released on all platforms tomorrow. Tomorrow I also start work on Norway, which will be released in about 4 weeks from now. Cheers everyone, leave a like!

Tips for Portugal: Those houses were too big to be Portuguese. Idk how to explain, but the size of the houses gave me a polish flash back, so I was thinking more Eastern Europe. I was sure it was not Portugal, but I can see how you thought that, cause I was doubting myself at a point. But again, those houses were too big (seems like 2 or 3 generation house, we don't do it that often) Hope you do a straight line for Portugal, Iberian peninsula keeps on being an ass to you 😊

Tips for distinguishing Canada from the U.S.: - U.S. usually has writing on their traffic signs, Canada almost never does. For example U.S. yield signs literally say "Yield" and railway crossings say "Rail Road Crossing", whereas in Canada both are blank because the meaning is already obvious from the ▽ or X shape. Similarly, the U.S. often has text on warning signs (yellow diamond), but Canada always uses symbols instead. If there is text, it will be on a rectangular tab below the diamond sign. - Concrete paving is extremely rare on residential streets in Canada. For that reason it is extremely unlikely that the one at 18:58 could have been in Canada. - Canada uses standard English spelling, not U.S. spelling. For example, at 7:55 it would be "Centre", not "Center". That said, you do occasionally find American spellings in Canada on commercial signs, so you need to be careful. But, if you see an American spelling on an official building like a school, community "center", etc, you know for sure it's the U.S. And if you see standard spelling anywhere you know for sure you are in Canada. - It can also be handy to learn which states or provinces have front license plates and which don't, because states and provinces across the border from each other often have the opposite rules. For example, all of the States in the plains require a front license plate, but only 1 out of 3 Provinces in the plains does. So at 1:42, given that you knew you were in the plains, you had to be in Canada. - Speed limit signs in Canada say "Maximum" whereas the ones in the U.S. say "Speed Limit". (Because "maximum" is spelt the same in both English and French, but "speed limit" isn't). The Canadian ones are also in km/h (number ending in "0") while the American ones are in mph (number ending in "0" or "5"), but I'm sure all the viewers here already knew that.

Really interesting series. I have now started trying these myself, although I am a total newb compared to you. I do have one tip for you though, which you don't appear to have picked up on (I could be wrong though): The US uses mph and Canada uses km/h for speed signs. This sometimes allows you to distinguish, since highway speeds are 50 in the US and 80 in Canada, for example.

Hello! For future reference in rounds like the one at 20:00 where you say you can't use the sun due to the hour of the day, you can always look at the orientation of architectural features in houses. I can't really say for sure if it would have been useful here because your face is on top of the compass, but usually windowed fronts of houses are facing towards the sun, either south or north depending on the hemisphere, and windowless facades like garage doors and blind walls from bathrooms and other service/private features of the house face away from the equator. Again, sometimes architects are bad architects and this won't be useful, but if you pay attention you'll notice that all the garages in the neighborhood faced the same direction, if this direction was north you could have assumed you were on the northern hemisphere, therefore resolving the issue of an unusable sun. (let us see the compass next time lol) Edit: Went ahead and checked it, turns out it's just a case of bad capitalist architects that copy and paste the same model of house 300 times on a neighborhood regardless of things like the orientation or the individual human needs each different family has. oops

Not good news for geoguessr players as it’s another country to recognize. They already had to deal with Austria recently.

If you're in a suburban area like that one it St Luis and you're unsure as to whether its Australia or not, remember that Australian bins are dark green with red or yellow lids. If you see those, you're absolutely in Australia

Tip for excluding Portugal - existence of bins. Portugal has communal bins and basically nobody has those medium sized trash bins at home.

To differentiate between Canada in the U.S., in most suburban areas, the U.S. has mailboxes at the ends of the driveways while afaik Canada Post Postboxes all clustered together on like the main street in the neighbourhood or seomthing.

Sun rule is undeniable only when outside the tropics (further nort than the tropic of cacer or below the one of capricorn) because between them it depends on the season. (Eg you could be just above the equator and still have the sun to the north in summer) and vice versa

12:40 not sure if other countries in Central America or South America do this but in Mexico many many "mom and pop" shops are named by a person's first name and that name will be painted to stand out. When I see that I instantly think of mexico.

The Mexico and US ones were so easy. From the stop sign and double lines and dollar general you could tell it was the US. And in Mexico from the water tanks above the houses that are Rotoplast, the Corona and of course the Pemex. At 18:00 it’s a dead five away it’s Mexico because of the “PAN” on the side of building which is one of the political parties. The popular ones are PRI, PAN, and, PRD

Hi Tom! Love your videos. Just incase it isn’t commented yet, we drive on the right here in the Philippines much like the US. Thailand drives on the left. 😁

You will get signs in both Norwegian and Sami in parts of Northern Norway, but this could not have been Norway, because of the lines on the road. We don't have the full/undotted lines at the side of the road unless there's also some kind of line in the middle. If there's no middle line, the lines on the side (if there are any) will be dotted in Norway.

If you can't remember which side of the road a country drives on you can check by zooming in close enough on the map that you can see the arrows on either side of a motorway
