1. Because the age of Indus civilization is below 10000 years And any fossilized should be 10000 years old of geological time scale. 2. No, mummy of Egypt is not considered as fossils because artificial preserved by man. 3.An organic remains buried by natural processes And simultaneously preserved is called fossils. 4. prehistoric means before the Holocene age and Holocene is younger epoch of geological time scale.. 5. Paleontology is the study of ancient life and ancient life preserved as fossils.

Ans-1 Because age of the Indus civilization are 10000 year ago (Holocene) Ans-2 NO, MUMMY OF EGYPT are not fossil because they are artificially preserved (man made fossil) but for fossil, it should be preserved in natural condition. Ans-3 FOSSIL- It is defined as the remains of plant and animals which have existed on the earth in prehistoric time and are found preserved within sedimentary rocks or superficial deposits of the earth. Ans-4 The prehistoric means geological aspects i.e it would be of Holocene age in Geological time i.e >10000 years ago. Ans-5 Paleontology is the study of primitive life . it helps in determination of palaeo-environment ,palaeo-temp., position of palaeo-oceans, palaeo-climate,and habitat of organism and their localities where they live.

1.Why remains of Indus civilization are not consider as fossil? Indus civilization are satisfying the first two condition of fossils (1.direct or indirect relationship with organism 2.Preserved by natural processes )But 3rd condition of fossil which is concerned object must be prehistoric that doesn't satisfy... Because Indus civilization are not atleast 10,000years old... so Indus civilization are not fossils. 2.Mummy of Egypt are fossil? If yes then justify, If not then explain it? No, Because mummy of egypt preserved by artificial processes which is not the condition of fossil. 3.What are the fossil? Fossils are the remains which direct or indirect relationship with organism of prehistoric nature preserved by natural processes. 4.What do you mean by prehistoric nature in definition of fossils? Why is it so? Prehistoric means anything older than 10,000years old. Because youngest epoch is Holocene the age of 0.01Ma Which is equal to 10,000 years 5.What do you mean by Paleontology? Paleo means ancient or something older and ontology means study of life.... So paleontology is deals with the study of past life.

1) Because indus civilization are not prehistoric in nature . 2) Mummy of Egypt are not fossil because they are artificially preserved . 3) Direct or indirect remains of past life preserved by natural processes and are of prehistoric in nature. 4) Prehistoric in nature of fossils means fossils are 10000 years old . If the organism are not 10000 year old the fossil are not fit in geological time scale 5) Studying of older or ancient life of fossil is called palaentology

1) Because they are not older than 10000year. 2) No, Cause they are Artificially preserved. 3) Which are preserved my natural processes and prehistoric in nature. 4) It should fit into geological time scale. 5) Paleo+ Ontology= study of fossil.
@surbhinath2504
@surbhinath2504 4 жыл бұрын
1) Indus civilization not considered as fossil as it does not satisfy the fossil requirement of being prehistoric in nature i.e, having an age > 10000yrs and here on the contrary age of indus civilization is 8000yrs 2) No, as mummy of Egypt is artificially preserved by mummification which violates the fossil conditions. 3) A fossil is direct or indirect remains of past life preserved by natural processes and prehistoric in nature. 4) Prehistoric in nature describes the period of Holocene age i.e, before 10000 years. It is said so, as Holocene age is youngest epoch of the geological time scale. 5) Scientific study of Ancient life that existed prior to Holocene epoch.
