The world needs more Nick Zentners; many, many, many more in all geologic regions and all posting on YT. Thank you Nick for these inspiring livestreams. I've discovered a love of geology I never knew I had thanks to all of your lectures posted on YT. I will miss them when you go back school, but will relish them while they last. Cheers mate!

Loved that CCC did a lot of work like this. My dad (who was born in 1898) was a carpenter, and in the 30s he did CCC work in Yellowstone. So when we visited there, he took us to a lot of places that many tourists don't go; he learned them from when he did his work there. It's great to have a guide who knows the backside of everything :-)

Thanks for all your efforts to take us to admire these places we might never have the opportunity to see in person. I enjoyed every minute of this program. Nick you're the best!

Thank you for all of the interesting visuals! The formation at 19:00 has inspired the art assignment for my online summer course due today! One day I hope to combine my love of art and geology/ecology into something useful for the scientific community!

Professor Nick....Thank you for your very fine and interesting explanations. But as important is your personality and what you bring to the table in the way of a veritable "Variety Hour" with each lecture.....I am certain that if I had been in one of your classes I would l have switched to geology for sure !!! You have become a daily part of the household, like a good friend dropping by to have a good talk. Thank you so much !!!!!

What a great show! I need to see that yellow glass next to the basalt; And the walk. Way cool. I have been to the museum and walked around the paths. Loved what you did tonight!

We were just coming off the south slope of Saddle Mountain (looking for petrified wood) as the livestream was happening. The recorded version is just fine. Thank you so much for this!!

I've lived in Wa. St. my entire adult life. East and West sides, and have driven past so many formations probably thousands of times. Been binge watching past lectures and vlogs.

Re @1:20:00 the pillow lava outcrop, with flood deposition above. Could there have originally been some further subsequent volcanics on top, but which was eroded away during megaflooding, with the sediment coming on top of the now eroded surface once water rates dropped to the point where the rock settled out?

Nick, I just got back from Leavenworth and Liberty and Scott from Rob Repin's mine asked me to say hi to you from the mine. I just had to buy $30 of paydirt since our trip was ruined by that manhunt for that killer who is still at large. Great live stream toom I love that area

*OBSERVATION:* Not to be obdurate but the O'Briens have a keen eye for the obvious. Note that Nick parked obliquely to the obsidian so it was initially obscured in yellow powder. After side-stepping obnoxious traffic the pillow lava reveal was so breathtaking it was obscene. Nick, don't leave your oboe at the oblong state park.

I never appreciated this when I was a young child. I visited 3-4 times. Do the residents, outside of the park, find petr wood on their property?

Really would like to see the "Park" make their log displays more ala-natur'al, than standing like rock soldiers in little formations. Reminds me of the old rockshop that was at Wishram Hts, Wa...rows & rows of rocks, p-wood, and mineral specimens...at outrageous prices. Oops, no outrageous inflated prices here...oh wait did you use the little boys room? What's the cost to pee these days? I still carry my trusty 7-11 cup, a roll of TP, and plastic garbage bags in a 5gal. bucket (with lid) in the trunk. I recently added a pop-up shower tent...just so I don''t in-sense any passer-bys when I gotta go. And where is all the scientific data for each log? ( But they can generate a multitude of signs telling us where we can't go, what we can't do, or who. Well maybe not the last one.) Finally, I refuse to buy a Discover Pass. I have paid state and local taxes for over 50 years...I shoudn't have to pay-to-see what I have already paid for.

Visit Rocky Reach Dam on your trip, too! Very nice place to visit. Been a number of years since we toured those areas and it's about time for a return visit!
