Thank you for this amazing, very interesting, lecture!! I was thinking that going from bread to half eaten bread has to require some hungry person entering the frame(of the image) and eating half the bread - smoothly and continuously. So in this sense, can we say that the half eaten bread is still on the same "manifold"?
