Our track record in medaling in other country' affairs is rather long and tragic. President Madison, 4th President 1809-1817 and Founding Father is known for the Monroe Doctrine, which said that any foreign power that attempts to interfere in US politics or elections was considered an act of war. I think it goes both ways, and that -- today -- interfering in the Russia-Ukraine conflict should not have occurred.

How much time is the question, I've been hearing your exact words for 9 years. Your words are what got me into PM'S, but the wait seems like it will never end when you hear the same B.S. every day for 9 years. How many more years, 10 , 5, 2? Nobody knows for sure. People reading this post may have to wait 10+ years, nobody knows because America has never had so many greedy criminals in charge of the country.We can no longer go by what happened in the past because these criminals profit big time by rigging markets, and there is no hope on the horizon, nothing is giving me any feeling that things are going to change.These crooks are in charge, and there is nothing any of us can do about it.

Gold price increased 10x from $200 to $2000 between 1999 n 2011. It would be completely normal for it to 10x again in coming years as the Fed has printed much more this time n deficits r much higher. That would mean $20k gold. Some people just cant get around the psycological barrier of gold any.place north of $2k. I think the above context would help.

What's so scary about $5,000 gold? It's only a 1.5X increase. In the 70s it was up 20X and in the 2000s 7X. In both cases the world didn't end. The stock market was just flat in both decades.

“Price environments” have no effect on inflation or deflation. Please don’t confuse non economists. Only central banks and the individuals who increase or decrease fiat currency supplies inflate or deflate the supply. Prices are the result of the Law of Supply and Demand which describes a process of market action, not of a central banker or government action. Repricing never stops. The value of currency against the value of real goods and services is continually recalculating. The price of energy is supersensitive to the value of currency, and on a seasonally adjusted basis the demand is stable in comparison. Food demand, too, is relatively stable, but supply is dependent on weather and supply chain. The commodities best suited for stable values are gold and silver. Supply can’t be inflated or destroyed, and new supply takes years to develop. “Cost of living” is another topic. Prices never stop moving.

Higher oil prices are neither inflationary or deflationary, they just reflect the supply of oil. If oil prices are very high they just squeeze out demand for other products, but if oil prices are high and the Fed increases the money supply by severely lowering interest rate then it is inflationary.
