1:47:28 having been down this road in real life, I specifically remember thinking about how I had never seen landscape like this in Texas before. For Geo purposes, the TX highway shield narrows this down pretty much to that one road (everything else covered is US numbers)

Final match round 22???? 😲 I have to say, I like this .5 damage better, as well as open coms for at least 1 team. I do love the usual commentary but hearing the players of the rounds helps us see the way they figure out the map, plus their teamwork. It does take longer for the .5 but more interesting. Do the teams know about the open mic's in advance? Surprised no Stique in this matchup. Yes my post is outdated but am fairly new here and playing catch up. Great game guys, thoroughly enjoyed it! 👍🏻

I'm a bit confused, why are these players still able to get the country so easily without Google car or compass metadata? I was told that they rely almost exclusively on it and would be lost without it, so why didn't I notice even a minor reduction in skill level? (edit: besides Debre's calls based on asphalt 😹🤪)

I haven't watched most of this yet so I can't say for sure, but a good amount of the meta (edit: ok so it's not called meta but you get the gist) is also things like road lines, sign shapes, and bollards. There's also stuff like soil types, foliage, climate, the general biome, and the languages on signs.

@@bogbutter no, wrong. Meta is what you wouldn’t see if you visited the location yourself, like the car, cam gen etc. Bollards, road lines, vegetation and so on are there. JHK, I agree these guys (including you) are top players and admire your skills. Yet the Sri Lanka disaster in the finals wouldn’t have happened if the car was visible 🙃 I think no car makes it even more exciting.
