Welp, RIP Black Midi. That news was pretty sad, especially coming out of nowhere like that and with such little fanfare. ...well, the fanfare has arrived. I have listened to this song at least once a day since it came out. I can't get enough and I can't fucking wait for The New Sound. This has soothed the wound of Black Midi's ending more than I ever could have expected. I look forward to whatever Cameron and/or Morgan get up to next too. I'm sure whatever follows is going to be amazing. And then, years from now when I'm in my friggin' forties, I'll see you at the black midi reunion tour.

I truly want to. It's a hellish track to actually make though, Greep rarely sings on beat so every single syllable ends up needing to be individually edited to be placed correctly, hard to get it right on the first pass-through. But man, what a fucking song. It's high on my list for sure.

@@MaxLevinton vocal removal tools are wonderful lately. I can't tell you the exact mechanisms at work here because I'm far from an expert, but I use a few different models on X-Minus and stitch together the best sounding parts in Audacity.
