The old version of the Biomaster was already great, but the improvements, especially at the pre-filter and the low-noise top plate, are fantastic! Thanks for the presentation. I prefer the 30 PPI sponges for the pre-filter but when I go on holiday I am changing to 10 PPI version to increase the service life.

I just put a filtosmart thermo on 55 liter dennerle tank, my first oase filter. I love it. On my future builds i will b using oase filters for sure.

Great concise video Mark! Looks like a lot of great changes in the areas that needed to be addressed. Have they done these changes across the board with all Biomasters or just some of them? I mostly use the 350's which definitely needs the improvement in the pre-filter. This was addressed years ago by a KZbinr @pondguru "Pimp my filter" series. Thanks for the great update on the filters.

Hey Beth. Thank you so much. Yeah I remember the Pong Guru video. He's from my neck of the woods, fellow geordie👍 The improvements have been made on all the filters with a claimed 20% increase in flow rate on the 350. The pre filter tube is the same as the the one in this video. Great improvement.

Hey all, Just wanted to share my experience with the Oase Biomaster. I was having some noise issues, and it turned out to be the built-in surface skimmer on the intake of my Lilly pipes. If the pre-filter got a bit clogged or something was limiting the water flow on the intake, the skimmer would draw in air to the filter, making the filter noisy as it expelled the air. To solve the issue, I switched to a seperate surface skimmer, now my filter is not whisper quiet. Hopefully, this helps anyone else struggling with noise from their Biomaster. :)

What is the best oase to get for the Rio 240 in your opinion? I want to remove internal and go to oase.
