George had such a beautiful voice and sang the Greatest love of all, better than anybody.

Agreed, Whitney's version was beautiful but too extra, George's version is the best...

These two guys worked a lot with the same people in the studios. Al Jarreau had always wanted a diverse audience as well as George Benson. These guys were performance kings and arrangement masters.

Lucky. I saw Benson live twice. And Jarreau just once..but I got to talk to Jarreau, at a bar, while my friends were doing their gig there... They played Spain for him. Good times. 😁

Many thanks for this very enlightening video! I was fortunate to watch them perform in Singapore's iconic Esplanade Theatres on the Bay while they were on their world tour to promote the album! Boy ! I wished I had seen this before they came as I would have appreciated the concert even MORE !!! It sure came as a surprise about the Paul McCartney bit, I must re-listen to the album once again & read the liner notes too! Once again, thank you for this!

This collaboration, like that George did with Earl; produced an album in which each every track was a doozy. The number of albums in my reckoning, that can lay claim to that distinction, can be counted on the finger of one hand. My deepest gratitude to these two gentlemen for the awesome awesome music they given us through the the years and particularly for this album. If I can dare, another dream collaboration would be that between George and Joyce Cooling, yep; my fingers are most certainly crossed for that one.

I wish they had done this in their prime..and each had done each other's hit, like Benson doing Mornin'..or After All, or Moonlighting... while Al doing Nothing's Gonna Change My Love for You, Give Me the Night..or Turn Your Love Around... Oh, well... Rest in peace, Al. Thank U both. 🙏🏽

The laziness and lack of creativity of the new generation will never produce great musical talents like these two unless there is a drastic change. I cannot name one in the last 30 years.
