As a Yankees fan in the 1970s/1980s, Brett was the only opponent that scared me.

Ken wasa hot young picther, pitch in the world series but times were differebt in the 70s. During that same off season Ken went into the Army Reserves for 6 months, missed spring training and pitched 9 innings in his debut. That ruined his arm and sent him for arm surgeries that never got him back to that level of pitching. Tommy lasorda said if he would have drafted him he would have been his starting center fielder, great hitter and athlete. I can't imagine a starting pitcher missing spring training to be in the army reserves nowadays

1. Quite the interesting pronunciation of Goose Gossage's last name 2. Twice in this video it talks about the Royals being in Kansas, when they're actually in Missouri.

I was born in 1978 while my dad was playing minor league baseball. My parents named me after George Brett and it is so awesome I played baseball but only made it to the High School American Legion level. Great video!

You said Kansas Legend. Kansas city is in Missouri Kansas City has always been in Missouri Kansas City Missouri has been there longer than the state of Kansas or the territory. Sorry it seems minor to the outside world but it'd be like saying New York is in New Jersey

There's a KANSAS CITY in KANSAS..but the one the ROYALS play in, is in MISSOURI.. KC, KS. is right across the river and border from KC, MO..

@@robertsprouse9282did you not read my response Kansas City Kansas was created way after Kansas City Missouri. Time for a history lesson town of Kansas also known as Kansas City Missouri first then Kansas territory then the state of Kansas then much later Kansas City Kansas. No Kansas city is in Missouri. There are suburbs of Kansas City that are in Kansas but Kansas city is in Missouri as is the zoo the Royals the Chiefs downtown Union Station every other attraction. Did you know there's also a Pittsburg Kansas? So therefore I guess Pittsburgh's in Kansas too

@@chuckHart70 , nice try..KANSAS CITY, KS. is not an incorporated town? Uh, in a word= YES Yes it is. It was incorporated in 1872, named after KC, MO. So, your point based on my response.. is what, exactly? And learn to use commas, Einstein.

Not even baseball historians know that he has 2 half sisters... his Dad (my grandfather) Jack cheated on George and Kens mother and had 2 daughters... my mother and my aunt...never met him tho. But he is my Uncle

That's sad I hope you all reconcile. My mother had a half-brother not quite as scandalous of a situation but remarriage old-timer stuff you know back in the twenties. But at his funeral I was a pallbearer and it was extremely sad I had an uncle I never knew
