As a non-believer myself, and from a believing mother, I have nothing but respect for believers who can take this kind of direct assault at their profound belief. I have a sense of how people can take this as an insult to the very core of their being, because I've known my mother since before I was even born 😄 So I never disrespect or confront religious people on their beliefs or try to stir up some shit for the sake of it. If you want to have the argument, fine I'm in. But I don't seek it out myself. Because I know how it will end: You'll walk away thinking you had all the best arguments and that SOB was too stupid to get it. And I will walk away thinking the exact same thing towards you. You do you, however silly I might find it. And I'll do me, however damning you might find it. If you're right, I'll be the one getting in trouble in the end anyway 😄 So this stuff can't rile me up. I know that love is real. I just don't believe that it's divine. My mother loves her non-believing son, and I love her back.
