Lili was so perfect for that era of P Funk. I remember her at Woodstock 99. It was epic.

Lili and George performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival 2004. Lili's my niece, and she brought my son Jesse (age 13) on stage with her...Lili and Jesse are cousins. A memory to last forever...

Never heard about this: I'm Never Gonna Tell It live? No way. P-Funk has such a deep catalog, they can always just reach in and pull something great out. And that cute girl singing during her violin solo. I haven't done this in a while - I got tears in my eyes.

"I'm Never Gonna Tell It" is kind of a deep song, if you think about it. Dude is getting cheated on by a chick who's got him whipped; he ain't gon' say nothin', cause he still wants to splack her up. I remember gettin' cheated on---well, not really cheated on, because I was the only one claiming exclusivity. She just wanted to give me some, and once she got tired, she went on her merry way. When I caught myself lying under the stairs of the vestibule of her apartment building at 3am, I knew then that I had crossed the line. That's why I was never gonna tell it, and never did...until right now.

@@markwilliams9889 uh yeah. I know their catalog. That's why I mentioned it. Never seen it in all the years I saw them though.

Lili's my niece. Brought my 13 year old son Jesse to the Montreux Festival in 2004, and Lili brought him on stage with her...as she and the Funkadelics poured Funk all over the audience.

AWESOME!! When the guitars really kick in (after Lili Haydn's great performance), Jimi Hendrix takes over the show! From playing the violin with her teeth (?) to the sounds of the 60's, this is a masterful performance.

I used to have every P-Funk LP on original vinyl... took years to accumulate. I would find one at a bargain bin or specialty shop back in the 80s... then take it home. And a track like this was always a discovery, somehting I'd nnever heard or even known of until it was playing on the stereo. Deepest catalogue of almost any band I can name.

I remember the first time I saw her do Maggot Brain. You could tell MH was upset GC gave his solo spot away. I couldn't blame him! Then she launched into it and it was otherworldly. Tears ran down my face and multidimensional waves ran through me. Much like the first time I'm saw Mike play it. Wish I could have seen Eddie do it. R.I.P 👽🌠👽

Funk birth hip hop. George Clinton was and still is the force of setting it of on the one. That Fm out lived all the members in parliament funckadelic and did the most get hi. Funk is being played on other planets. When the mothership rocketed off to galaxy George programed all the the funk music on the mothership to be played for the other beings. We want 2 funk gotta have that funk. Peace GC. Mike Zulu

I saw her at a show with them in Boston a few years back. She never seems happy with her onstage monitor and sound reinforcement for her violin. Could have something to do with insisting on a mic'ed acoustic instrument in what is otherwise a very electric situation. I love Kendra and am glad she got some quality frame time on this clip....More Bernie please!
