One of the most painful piece of News that I ever heard was the passing of this astonishing melodic composer/ arranger George Duke. Right up there with Herbie, Chic, Miles, and Lyle!!! I own just about everything he released and his incredible work with Frank Zappa! Dukey the greatest! 👍😊

Tears! I've been a fan of this man's music since before I was born, because George Duke was one of VERY FEW musicians played in my household. My Dad was a HUGE jazz lover, and George was one of his All Time Favs... my parents often told me how when I was still in the womb, my Dad would play G. Duke for me every time I started to kick in my Mom's belly, lol. #RIPMr.Duke.

This was great if I could ever get that library man o man. Big Frank Zappa fan and so glad George went along with Frank cause look at that music I read that Frank pushed George to work on one word at a time something like that to get him to sing so he did and you see you get Inca Roads from that .... Ive taught myself how to read music and its mostly due to wanting to be more serious and not let someone else have that over me Cause you gotta want to do it and think ya can and if you can sing and then know the music by heart and its written out Such as Inca Roads then you can put the tune on look at the music follow along and literally see what the notes are as you sing it and follow along an if you can sing the pitch as you read the notes that helps your ear see what your eyes are seeing .. lol also I had this mental block that lifted on leapyear cant explain but I had issues on where to play the notes then it dawns on me well if its already written out and you can hear it then you find the range and find each note and you play as you read in that register or range of neck on guitar. If it sounds low then ya gotta find the notes and then just let your fingers go to those as you read them and learn it in that area. Just that alone helped me free up and just go ok it does not matter find the best range where it sounds best and put the eyebrows too it ... Frank called it that and Frank would do things like play naturals and intervals then play flats and the intervals and if your not really paying attention you will mess up man you gotta know where every note is on the neck of the guitar so you can do that anywhere on the fretboard. Same deal if your playing bass or Piano your reading that and having to really concentrate. Dare I say Piano is easier but you can see the melody Guitar is upside down and facing away from you and you have two octave ranges so honestly to read like a monster you gotta know every note on the fingerboard and be able to sing it and play it and call it out....in any range or position .. I still have issues playing music ive not heard before but at least im seeing the notes and calling them out also trying to instantly see chord shapes for 135 351 513 to call the inversion out and you can see them someone said remember 135 then 34 and 43 so the 135 is stacked in 3rds 351 would have 4 spaces then 3 spaces and 5 1 3 would have 3 spaces then 4 spaces. So its gotta be one of the 3 shapes then you start looking at line to line or space to space or line to space space to line interval spacings and you start to see those patterns so your kinda attacking it from several angles to get it. So if you study triads in all keys you would see whats sharp or flat and if you see the patterns you can see oh with the left hand 135 or 1 5 and then right hand would not be that but rather 1st inversion 351 or 2nd 513 shape. that helps you see chords faster if all 3 notes are on a line or space from each other then 135 shape if you have space and space then space to line 34 shape and if you have space to line then to line 43 shape.. it starts to be auto matic and if your eyes can make your fingers see the same thing then you just might be able to learn Inca Roads also and sing it. but ya gotta think you can I tell you what I had the greatest feeling in the world when it clicked and I realized oh you already are singing it Ron and you just needed to look at the notes on paper to see what they are.. and you can do it too.. If you know this music already and sing along with it and hum the melodies in your head get the books and follow along learn the notes and go to a piano and figure where its at.. then do it on bass and guitar. Bass clef F clef Treble clef G clef both for piano Bass clef only for bass and G clef for guitar.. learn both and play all 3.. do it..

First of all, my condolences on the passing of this giant of ALL MUSIC. Now, how to I use this plug in to make music THAT IS NOT LOOP ORIENTED? Is this just for people using loops to rap over? I really want to use this, but I can't find a tutorial that actually uses this plug in to MAKE MUSIC using a DAW to accompany a song with chords already written, or how to use this in a live situation.
