He was one of a kind. You can tell by the comments other musicians have made about George Duke that there was laughter, and rarely a dull moment when he was present. And George’s music transcended narrow labels. RIP George hope to hear and see you in the world to come!

What a talent George was, he could play anything, and was not afraid to add probably the most memorable keyboards of any Zappa alumn. George liked weird, he liked funk, jazz, soul, rock and roll, ballads, standards, EVERYTHING! I dont think he was reading charts when he played w Zappa though i know he could have. What an ear! What a brain! What a cool dude too, seemed to get along with everyone. He is sorely missed.

He was a manchild, musician and an institution, unbelievable, I miss him so much... See ya in heaven man! . . . PS: ...and he was a musical gangster:)) - - - George's music makes me happy in my heart and my soul since 1976 I heard him first time...this man is an idea machine, incredible. This concert is one of his bests, it is an opera.
