last night Incognito played this song at Java Jazz Festival here in Jakarta. I was in tears because knowing that the legend is not here anymore still hurts. I am sure he was watching from the jazz heaven above!

I love the homage to Frank Zappa at the end of this song. It's hard to believe but George started playing synths and singing only after considerable pressure from Frank to do so. George's singing and synth work on Inca Roads are just amazing. Thanks again Frank for seeing and unleashing this latent talent.

George Duke remains one of the top 3 influences on my keyboard-playing style and "world". Of about 5 or 6 live versions of B.L.A., this is my favorite. There aren't words to adequately sum of the length and breadth of George's musicianship and spirit. Thank you, dear George Duke.

I absolutely idolized his piano and keyboard skills and I imitated him so much...I grew up listening to his genius and wanted to play so much like him. RIP George your music will live on forever. With every concert video I witness of George Duke, I lament all the more the fact I never got the chance to see him live before he was taken far too early. I'll forever be amazed by his stratospheric talent and the sheer command he had of a keyboard, composing, and of a live show. Those who had the honour of sharing a stage with him know how blessed they were.

I met George once at Whiskey Creek Restaurant/Concert venue in Redlands, Cal. 18 years ago. He was very gracious, kind, and completely incredible during the concert. RIP Brother, The Lord has a Mansion picked out just for you because of your faithfulness.
