If you close your eyes......one can almost see Romeo kneeling beside Juliet singing this song. believing her to be dead. True the story of Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy about star crossed lovers...but! at it's heart it's a love story of the ages and Phil Perry's "Forever" is a love song of the ages and the the way he performs it here is pure magic....a classic love song.....raw......emotional...spirit filled and gut-wrenching.

Best male vocal performance on youtube. His phrasing, range, and absolutely raw power have me coming back to this recording again and again.

I listened to a song played by Fourplay, with Shaka Kahn as guest singer she is great but, one of the backing singers was Phil Perry WHAT a legend he is.. people are correct, he doesn't get the recognition he deserves.

Take the time to realize how many artist musically and vocally George Duke has touched or introduced a great voice of so many. George you will be missed but your talent lives on through so many. Rest In Peace.

Small anecdote, Duke is kind of related in term of carrer and music to a friend of a very close member of my family ;)

SonnyGTA the first 15sec he shut down show already for me at 1st the pitch threw me than like he does best smooths it right over man even tho I'm 24 I was bought up around the real music artist like him are rare to come and will never get the credit or respect they truly deserve this is what music sound like that comes with pain heart and soul from the late 2000s and up music has been mislead by the mainstream garbage rnb and rap but as generations come I guess things have to change
