This is the George Fox Song as it has come to be sung in the PNW, which turns out to be more of a mash up with the tune of Simple Gifts with the original melody written by Sydney Carter. This recording is more of a "James Taylor" band version compared to the raucous "tastes great/less filling" (old leather britches/shaggy shaggy locks) version that was shouted at summer camps over the past few decades. Undoubtably the difficulty of the original melody perplexed some campers as much as the exchange of hollering would have Mr Carter and likely George Fox for that matter.
In any case, here is a vehicle for remembering the commission of George Fox to walk in the Light.
