I remember George picking me up hitchhiking as a young grom heaps of times. At the time I wagged school often so that I could go surfing , get my thumb out and go where the waves were and along would come George in his old Holden panel van which I think was an old fj Holden . I knew nothing about who he was at that time and only knew him as the really cool dude that picked me up to go and find a nice wave I would really love to see him and thank him for being such a cool dude and even though he didn’t realise it he was one of the very few people I genuinely respected around Byron and that area . He was a great bloke then as well as a great human then and I am sure he is now

I'm 76, it's 2023...I live in KY now..still have a Greenough flex fin I bought from Gregg Liddle in Agoura back in the early 80's....still have it..I used it often on a lot of boards. It was NOS when I bought it from Gregg.

What's your name? My buddy surfed nothing but Liddle boards back in the 80's. I was a Campbell Bros. Bonzer guy with a 7" Greenough fin. I still ride all the time. Zuma Rincon Faria and the ranch.

That is the truth, hard to keep up with his chat in real time while surfing. Talked with him a couple times at 7 Mile Beach back in the day in the bay days.
