This was one of the few fights I scored watching it live. I had it by 4 rounds to Jack. I could have also seen him winning by 2 rounds but either way, the right man won. People saying that Taylor won are just crazy. All of the powerful, impactful shots came from Jack and he clearly did the far more effective work.

@lewisbeaton7839 Landing effective punches and making your opponent punch you in areas where it don’t effect you is literally what boxing is about. He was more effective, more accurate and hurt Josh. I scored it 2 rounds to Catterall. 117-111 is too much but I can’t give 7 rounds to Josh Taylor, a swarming holding and punching in the gut doesn’t count the same as a sweet counter to the face that hurt your opponent

@@gabrielsteffensen3700 jack slowed down massively and was winning rounds in stages but he was being walked down and hit. Look at the punch stats. All scoring shots. I agree jack had the cleaner work but imo one big left hand doesnt win a 3 minute round, he wasnt busy enough. I had josh 6 rounds and gave 1 round even. I scored the fight live so im confident in ny take. Was a close fight and i have no issue with jack 7-5 but to give a 117-111 is corruption

Jack won convincingly . Commentary was a joke glazing over josh for walking foward, josh did better but he won 4 rounds at the absolute most. Can’t give people rounds for walking forward when the other guy on the back foot is lighting him up with the bigger shots. “pushing the pace” doesn’t score more than punches in boxing… shock..

Taylor had the work rate and i was a bit frustrated with Jack because if he did more he could have finished it. Clearly though Jack had the eye catching point scoring punches and deserved the win but i think it was a bit closer than the score cards.

Sorry, Cattrall was holding on the last 4 rounds and fighting in little spurts, looked crisp at times like. But those cards were a joke. Reff gave him 2 breathers as well. Not a robbery, but that fight stank.

Jack cruised through the first 8 rounds some of the combinations were beautifully timed he unleashed a four hit combination twice in a row, he slowed down in the 9, 10, 11, 12 but was still catching Josh with stinging single shots. Jack won comfortable at least 8-4 if i be really really generous 7-5

Great analysis of the fight. I scored it round by round, it’s the sound off, and I had it 117-111! It was a competitive fight but JC had more clean effective work in most of the rounds. He won by a clear margin

I think it was close, I had Josh winning only 3rd rounds 1 -6. I had Jack winning only the 11th between 7-12. However some of the 7-12 rounds were closer. No way it was as wide as the cards.

I don’t think you need a 3rd or trilogy bcus the bloke name Cattral seems better this one than the one before so the outcome will be similar in terms of win. The only difference in my opinion might be a KO bcus Cattral threw the heavier punches, so no need for a trilogy. This wasn’t even close this time compared to the one before imo

Listen that was a close fight and personally I had Josh by two rounds but to say Catt won that fight by 8/9 rounds is a farce and an embarrassment to boxing in this country. Was concerned about the judges all being English before the fight but dismissed it . But Bob was right that was a disgraceful decision. British boxing has just flushed its reputation down the toilet today

You have to hit someone in a boxing match. Taylor kept hitting gloves and yeah he worked hard but Catterall caught him clean time after time. I'm not an expert but scored it 8 4 so the scorecards are fair. Taylor lost again, and I like Josh a lot.
