To watch George in his interviews you can see and hear the hesitation to answer some questions asked of him due to the press hounding the Beatles all those years. George is a very private reserved Man who does things according to the kind of person he is...he has yo be himself. A beautiful Man in my eyes...I still listen to his music today and I will continue doing so for a long time to come. I admire him very much.

I’d read that the reason they went to Japan was that George’s previous tour in ‘74 had been poorly received and critically panned (he had problems with his voice) and the Japanese audiences were notorious for providing over-the-top adulation. Having Clapton by his side was also a security blanket to help George overcome his resistance to live performing. Pete Townshend had provided a similar service for Clapton at Clapton’s Rainbow Concerts in ‘73.

I think Eric also needed George with him, cos this concert was months after Eric's son died, and Eric probably needed the support too.

It was Eric who was committed to play in Japan with his band and he convinced the ex Beatle to go with them and do a George Harrison tour instead in that country.

Free love was popular at the time and there was a sense that they were separating already due to George's love for India. There was wife swapping involved too and everyone was doing it. I think that's how Eric got his hands on her factually. Then Layla and such came about.
@kathypop42 жыл бұрын
You're wrong. George tried to get into wife swapping but Pattie was disgusted by the idea. He cheated on her multiple times whereas she stayed faithful to him. Eric was unhealthily obsessed with her and after her and George split Pattie went to Eric
