prodigalretrod George Harrison possessed a laconic personality. He didn't waste words! Harrison only spoke when he felt he had something to add to a topic of conversation. You gain insight from George. He was referred to as the "Quiet Beatle" and that just wasn't accurate! Harrison didn't like to waste words. I personally would have referred to John Lennon as the "bloviating" Beatle, because he just couldn't stop talking! He was so irresponsible when he made his infamous and blasphemous comment about Christianity which was one of the reasons he was killed.

@@raulmacias1311 yeah I also believe it... Paul and John didn't let George and Ringo talk much, they were always overshadowed by Paul and John, they didn't even let George's song be included in albums, although George had written so many beautiful songs... which was One of many reasons for their breakup...

@@marjanp4784 When John Lennon imposed Yoko Ono on Paul, George and Ringo, he not only brought her to the sessions, he differed to Yoko to speak for him at Beatles meetings! George Harrison actually quit temporarily because of this on January 10,1969. Quote by DOUG SULPY {From GET BACK ~ THE UNAUTHORIZED CHRONICLE OF THE BEATLES LET IT BE DISASTER} ~ "The years of playing second class Beatle had created a very deep, bitter resentment in George Harrison. The respect he received from fellow musicians such as Bob Dylan and Eric Clapton could not be found within his own band. His new compositions were routinely derogated and rejected by John Lennon and Paul McCartney, even though some were far better than their own. In addition, by January, 1969, George found yet another person ahead of him in the Beatle pecking order, as Yoko Ono involved herself {with John's blessing} in the group's affairs. This would contribute to George's abrupt departure midway through the sessions." Can you believe, at some point in their relationship, John gave Yoko Ono "Power Of Attorney" to handle his affairs! Yoko Ono really did a job on Lennon!

Mine three. People like George Harrison don't come around very often. Which is why all these years later we are still listening to interview fragments. Good post. It appeared George was appreciative of the quality of the interview as well, giving the guy a head nod, and a lean in "thank you." They get so many ridiculous questions.
