"He made it after he did your show, so he didn't have a chance to talk about it." PRIME example of why I love George. Lol He was so endearing and yet so sarcastic at the same time. John was all sarcasm. Paul was all charm. ..but George was both.

I find it funny how throughout the years for more than 50 years, the fans have been insisting on spreading a narrative that all of the Beatles themselves have been denying. George was friends with both Yoko and John, and anyone who really enjoys their music and history knows, that they had many problems before Yoko or whoever came along. George needed his space, that was it! "All Things Must Pass" is one of the best albums ever released.

I wish there were still talk shows where they actually just talk and have an intelligent, natural conversation.

George Harrison was often viewed as a bit of en enigma........he could come across as cynical, totally humble THEN in a split second he could appear quite cocky, he was at times temperamental, but he was also a very caring individual. I think of all four Beatles, Harrison was the hardest to get a total grasp on! I remember watching this particular Dick Cavett interview when it originally aired and was (pleasantly) surprised when he plugged John Lennon's "Happy Christmas (War Is Over)" single! I think Harrison was genuinely a nice guy, even though he HAD to feel a little resentment with his role in The Beatles!

Cavett's very last words on the clip...."You wouldn't get here on looks alone..", what an obnoxious comment. Frankly, HE (Cavett) seemed totally unprepared to interview George Harrison, only asking shallow questions trying to stir up stuff about Yoko & John. That's not a good look on Cavett. He wasted a marvelous opportunity.
