Thank God he went back and retrieved that poor duck who might well have been somewhat distraught by the whole event. You really don't know what you got 'til It's gone.

That's sad to have all that creativity in your head and no one you can trust to relieve it to. Drugs didn't help at all, but, losing the only one you had must have been hard. Loneliness is a bitch.

I used to sing songs to my drugs. Like when I was preparing a shot, " if loving you is wrong, I don't wanna be right", or whatever. It kinda got to be a thing in our community, or group of deadend dope-fiend, or so I thought. Junkies would be like, hey Dick, what's tonights hit, or tune. .I didn't get, for a longtime afterwards that these people didn't care about the music, they were just working me for some drugs.

This is interesting but sad at the same time. I heard George say how and why he got started on cocaine in a interview but he never mentioned this. Evidently one time with coke got him hooked pretty bad. In the end though he had no choice but to clean his act up.

@@janicerigsbee4129 Sorry you prefer to be delusional and enjoy your idol worship, but it's completely true, and well known among Jones' family and friends. They even joked about it on country music shows back in the day. You, who didn't know Jones whatsoever, are calling these people who toured with him/knew him for years and years, liars. He had a mental condition that was exacerbated by drugs, including alcohol.
