I love how his drums are as musical as the guitars and adds to the melody with the fills. I wish all death metal was this melodic and tastefully done.

Kollias has to be the best technical metal drummer out there, definitely the quickest and tightest. Even though this video was recorded with a potato it still brings me happy in the pantalooms. Who says death metal isn't about happiness! \m/

According to the theory of relativity when an object like the beaters of George's pedals near the speed of light the mass of the object increases almost infinitely causing distortion in time and space. This in turn causes a singularity better known as a form of a black hole. Black holes can't be defined by the physics of our time and require levels power and energy to control that we can't imagine. This proves that George is a drumming god.

@Wannalikemy8 жыл бұрын
GamerDares wins There it is. That may be so, but Joey still isn't that good. Compared to some 12 year olds I even know. Let's be honest, slipknot was some of the first covers, we drummers learned. It teaches easy, need to know basics, that anyone can learn.
@85Aheadstix8 жыл бұрын
TheNamelessYeti Joeys better than most of the drummers in generic metal these days. He knows all of his rudiments and shit... he's no Donati or Lang but he's still quite knowledgeable. I never covered any Slipknot songs, i prefered Mudvayne covers. Mats drumming on LD 50 was WOW!

Besides, many Nile songs alternate between extremely high speeds (240-280 bpm for the most part) and ridiculously low speeds (like downwards of 50-80 bpm). The thing you should question a Nile drummer about would have to be his ability to play common mid-tempo grooves.

This is way harder than Messhugah - Bleed!
@KHfan4ever237 жыл бұрын
Personally as a drummer myself, I'd have say that's bullshit. I'd have an easier time learning and nailing this song before nailing Bleed. Both drumming styles are totally different. Then again, that's just me. Haha
@KHfan4ever237 жыл бұрын
Maybe I just think that Bleed is harder for me to play than a death metal song?

Personal taste is not worth arguing, but before you say anything, ask yourself can you do the same, or better. Of course not all types of drumming fit everyone, but this type has it's own characteristics, and if you don't like it - it's OK, just abstain yourself from shallow comments like ''this type of drumming sucks balls''.
